Really excellent and professional service from all staff at Sarah Mains Low Fell. Right from the outset, the valuation was carried out with (by Claire) such professionalism and i had no doubts that these were the agent i wanted to go with. During the sale process, i was updated regularly (by Chris and others) and knew exactly what was happening. After the sale went through, Rebecca was excellent in getting everything over the line so competition could happen at the earliest opportunity, liaising with the other parties and legal firms as necessary. I'd have no hesitation in recommending them. They may not be the very cheapest, but they are certainly the best. Thanks again for all your help.

I have used Sarah Mains 10 years before when buying my first property so not surprised at their excellent service. However I have to say the team & expertise just gets better & better. We were looking to purchase our next home & had gone through various agents which was sometimes a struggle. With other agents it sometimes felt we were just another number. Sarah Mains were so professional, hands on & supportive from day one & were genuinely involved with our progress. Scott was extremely helpful from the moment we enquired & requested a viewing. He was also very good with the follow up call & to the very last day we picked up keys as I had requested an extra print out of the house brochure. Amy was also good & professional at showing us around the home. Kelly was also helpful through the sales progression. Thankyou for helping us. We love our new family home.

I have just moved to Newcastle from India and was finding it very difficult to rent a place given the current state of housing crisis. However, Elliot has been great to help me find a suitable place to rent, he was very patient and conveyed everything with empathy. Sarah Mains also has an option for virtual viewing which made it easy for me to decide and make an application quickly. Everything was smooth, except for a few hiccups: - When relocating from another country, it is hard to make a payment via bank transfer that will reflect 'immediately' in your account given most international bank transfers take at least 24 hours to do so - it'd be great if Sarah Mains can consider any alternative payment methods like PayPal for people like me, because not all the time can you borrow from colleagues/leave work and visit the office to pay. - While my guarantor's verification was underway by rent4sure, there have been some delays due to the link being expired/the emails going to spam etc. Also rent4sure does not tell you what documents are exactly needed/accepted at the beginning, they keep asking for alternatives/something more - which is a bit taxing to find and fetch. I get it that it is part of the process, but it is not very helpful when you receive a very intimidating email first thing in the morning from Sarah Mains' Tenancy Manager that if the assessment has not been finalised and if I don't collect the keys by 5pm that day, my application would be cancelled - this email was quite upsetting and terrifying to be honest. I thought it was just me who found this email alarming, but my guarantor/my colleagues/my friends at work too found it quite aggressive. It would be great if Sarah Mains or their agency rent4sure could've considered and given enough time/heads up of the required documents beforehand, especially for someone who has moved to a totally new country with very few known faces in the UK. - However, they did accelerate my application and got me my place but just a little bit more of consideration and empathy would've been great.

Bought a house with them it's hard to get in contact with sales progression once your offer is accepted I just sent emails in the end as that was the fastest and easiest way to get a reply, Rebecca was very helpful with the purchase and made sure we were kept updated in general it was a very smooth sale from both sides and sarah mains were a really helpful estate agents, the only thing we were unhappy with was being dumped with a broken fridge to dispose of and the estate agents and solicitors not taking any responsibility so beware if you buy a house through sarah mains and someone leaves it dumped with stuff inside you will have to deal with it out of your own pocket even though they made a profit off of you, when you bought the house

Being knowledgeable about the area and with prompt attentive service the house was 'sold' within a day of being marketed. Great service and friendly demeanour from staff including Chris and Kelly who were always just at the end of the phone for any queries. Despite a nightmare lengthy selling procedure due to the property being old enough not to be officially registered with land registry , the after sales service from Sharon kept me sane throughout the whole stressful situation. Sharon is a credit to the company remaining helpful and cheerful during a very frustrating time. The staff are great and work hard to sell your property. However Sarah Mains recommend Premier Property Lawyers as their trusted solicitors to do the conveyancing. I followed Sarah Mains' advice and did not have a good experience with Premier- far from it. Google the firm and judge for yourself from the hundreds of shocking reviews before committing yourself. One might conclude that SM's relationship with PPL casts doubt on their overall commitment to serving their customers over earning extra commissions- but judge for yourself.

If I could rate these guys 6/5 I would - Sharon from the Low Fell branch was the most reliable, friendly and trustworthy person during our whole moving journey. The service from all areas of the business has been professional however, Sharon Lambert from the Sales Progression team has been the shining star for us! The journey has been a tricky one to say the least, mostly due to issues with solicitors but Sharon has remained a force to be reckoned with and made sure we have always been updated with the status of both our sale and purchase.
