Loved here for 6 months and extended my contract for another 6. I was expecting the place to be small, based on the reviews, but then it was quite sufficient for 1 person. The staff and facilities are amazing. Very convenient living! Abdo helped me with my contract renewal and it was a delight! He was very friendly and flexible.

Abdo is nice and patient, he always answer my questions in time in a respectful way. He also cares about my concerns and he helped me rent a satisfying studio at the collective.

If you have your kitchen electronics and things stolen from the kitchen. The building are not even willing to look into the cctv for you. It would be as simple as seeing who took it and walked to which floor/room. Unless they steal things themselves thats why they wouldn’t check it. They lie to you for a year saying they will and then they dont.

Very small rooms, no TV, too expensive and people entering the room without prior notice. Plus in my case I had to sign papers to stay there for a year otherwise they wouldn’t let me stay

Great place to live. Matt has been a star since he first showed me around. The staff and the facilities are brilliant. I like to use the different themed work spaces to switch up my environment. Honestly a life saver moving into here during lockdown with all the variation.

They are lies and thieves, they do not return deposit! for 4 months I try to return my money, I have all bank evidence that they recieved money, dozens of emails were sent them, but there financial manager just email "i communicated my bank they said they have no your money". And when I send again all documents from bank with gpi tracker they just ignore mails for several weeks and then again "please send bank details" and disappear again... So upset, 825 pounds were stolen by this organization((( I still hope to return it maybe if come to them offline ... I think they do this with abroad students, using situation that for summer they leave GB.

Shocking with the level of professioncy in communication, and very unpleasant experience when the team acted very unprofessional and didn't seem to understand that it's a work place for them but a living place for the customer. And have heard so many problems with the financial team, they kept asking people to pay the rent that have already been paid, seems like they have a terrible system in that area. And never respond the emails except when they send you an invoice. Don't recommend it. It's not worth it.Service: 1

I'm student in France and I spent 4 months in Collective Old Oak (jan to april 15th).Great place to live but not great when you move out! I left 2 month ago and i still waiting for my deposit back (560 livres)!!! Credit control claims that there is a problem with my bank details! So I sent 2 others bank details but no more informations..... Credit control need only iban to pay the deposit account so I don't understand what is the problem. I sent correct informations from my bank and nobody explain to me what is the real problem! Very difficult to have some response from credit control and no phone number to contact them....... I need this deposit return for my next accomodation in France Thanks for your help!!!!!!! Thomas

I lived at the collective old oak for a while and it is not worth the price the space is very small way too small and although they advertise it as you have collective spaces to use for this and that... it's still not worth the price and now they are again as of September 2022 they have told us the are putting up prices which are extortionate for the space. You can find much cheaper accomodation with more space. and the people in charge never listen or are never there for any issues you have the people at reception never answer the phone and Are not helpful at all. Please don't waste your money. This place is not worth it. Really bad experience this is not what it is advertised at and don't be fooled by the pictures the room is like a cupboard.

The Collective has been the worst living experience since I moved to UK. First of all the rooms are extremely tiny, not enough space for your personal belongings (e.g. clothes). The cleaning service is awful, it takes lots of complaints to actually find your room clean. The building is situated in the middle of a huge ongoing construction point: debris coming in the room and on the bed; noise, shaking of the building as the machines dig underneath, etc. More about the inside environment: the ventilation in the corridors is almost non-existent, the promised facilities do not always function, during summer the rooms reach 40 C degrees of temperature without any provisions from the management, etc. About the service (with the exception of only a couple of kind people at the reception) you receive dismissive replies when you inquire about anything that may affect your staying there. In regard to the outside environment: only one mini market that offers the basics in the highest prices, no cash point machine in close proximity. The Collective is situated next to one of the most dangerous areas of London, lots of gangs walking around day and night. I would not recommend this place to anyone not only for the bad service and nonexistent quality but also for location. Most importantly they haven't submitted my deposit to one of the approved schemes. They did it after I checked and complained. They kept my deposit because I asked them to leave as all the above problems caused me health issues and an unpleasant stay. They kept my deposit although I have been e-mailing and discussing the above issues with the argument that otherwise they will be hunting me through courts and other means. An awful experience, awful people, facilities and management.

My experience here is immensly delightful. I have here for the past 6 months and without any doubt I could recommend the place to anybody who require accomodation in a calm and quiet environment. I was provided with all the facilities and whenever I required the assistance of a support person, they were there withlut any delays. The room is really fitting for a sigle or a couple occupancy and you have all the facilities included inside the room. Bed and linen are so clean. Wash room was so spaciaous. I would like to specially mention the remarkable and prompt service given by Abdo, who handled my move in. The moving in process didn't take more than 2 days and it was all arranged and he was so attentive to make my moving in process a smooth one. Thank you abdo for that service and truly commendable. I would love to stay at this place whenever I come back to London and I would recommend the place to anybody without any doubts.

Pretty nice place to live, rooms are bit small but the common spaces are massive and very functional. The sales team are bit tricky to handle, as they offer different room rent price to different people, so just be cautious and mindful when signing a contract here. The sales staff and the event team coordinater are very arrogant Although very nice place to live community wise. They organise many social events which keeps people engaged and creates nice environmentRooms: 1Service: 3Location: 2

Internet problems since I moved in sometimes out for months. The sauna room wasn’t working. The cinema room wasn’t working. You get harassed by the staff if you want friends round asking you to sign them in. Impossible to make a complaint with a manager. All in all a terrible place to stay and not worth the money!

Do not come to this place!! They do not return deposit, pretending that they did not receive a "payment". When trying to contact them, they do not answer for weeks, and when I ask to speak to a general manager, they do not give her contacts and transfer to the same person to which I do not want to speak any more. Avoid this place if you do not want to loose your money.Travel groupSoloRooms: 1Service: 1Location: 1

After a month of flat hunting, it was The collective at old oak that finally caught my eye. Best co living place in town I'd say. With the help of Abdo Dada, from the flat viewing till moving in, he made sure eveything was in place for my arrival. Loving my stay here so far and meeting new people when attending so many communal events. You never miss home at the collective at old oak.Rooms: 4Service: 4Location: 3

Despite having followed instructions for departure exactly, management is refusing to refund deposit for a unit that was left in perfect condition - without being able to explain why ( they simply ignore all requests for information). The tiny apartments are extremely noisy due to poor sound isolation and thin windows towards the street.
