GoogleIf I could give 0 stars I would as they actually don't even deserve 1 star. Rented through them for longer than I would have liked and it was a terrible and very stressful experience. They favour the landlord, not the tenant. Steer clear of Simon Clarke at all costs.
Unfortunately even their most senior staff act as though they are inexperienced juniors. The buck is always passed with nobody ever taking any responsibility for the serious flaws in the service. DO NOT rent via Simon Clarke. Go elsewhere!

Thank you for your review and of course we regret the experience you have had, especially as you had been a tenant of Simon Clarke for almost 4 1/2 years and across 2 different properties.
We have taken any misgivings in our service on board and have put systems in place to ensure that these are not experienced again.
There are times when we are limited to what actions we can take without the Landlords consent and these of course do always reflect negatively on the managing agent as we are having to deliver the message which is often unpopular.

GoogleNot interested in maintaining the property you rent. We had a gas leak, not interested. We had extreme mould, not interested. We had the front door drop meaning we couldn’t get out, not interested.
Now having to dispute deposit as they are claiming excessive damage from their own paint work cracking due to poor workmanship.

We are sorry to have received your 1 star review. During your 2 year tenancy a number of maintenance items were reported and were always dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner. From our internal notes we understand that National Grid attended your report of a gas leak and were unable to confirm there was one. Additionally the landlords own gas engineer also concluded the same. Whilst we are aware there was issues with the front door swelling, this was dealt with, however we have no knowledge of extreme mould, our documented property inspections confirm the same. The landlord proposed deductions against your deposit and you raised a dispute on these via the arbitration process that the TDS provides. Their decision is independent from all parties and is based on the evidence provided to them. Whilst their conclusion may not be agreeable to all parties is it outside of our control. We are happy to discuss this in more detail, please feel free to contact us at the office.
