Shaws has been consistently excellent since I first bought my apartment through them 15 years ago. Nothing against the larger chains but Shaws is a good example of a private business that offers a personal and trusted service, never lets you down and is calm in a crisis (the pandemic being a good example). I stayed with Shaws to rent the same apartment when I relocated to Asia in 2010. At the heart of the reason why I have been loyal all these years is the Shaws team ethic, genuine care for my property, professionalism 24/7 and dedication to ensure I have the best tenant and agreement. Every person I have dealt with at Shaws has been professional, although I would like to give a shout-out to Olivia, Elodie, Romina, Daniel and, in charge of accounts, the ever dependable Malcolm. Moment after I signed contract they told me that there was a moth infestation. So I arrive on the move in day to find the place being sprayed with toxic chemicals and see the moth eaten carpet underneath the bed which was conveniently hidden from me during the viewing. When I moved out they charged me £40 for a "missing" radiator cap worth £4 which wasn't even there when I moved in, and a bunch of other things that were already damaged when I moved in. So anyone who still wants to deal with these scumbags make sure you have your own inventory, they will try to swindle you. I'll remember this experience for all time :)

Good service , however a few things to be aware of the referencing company they use Goodlords is a complete nightmare to deal with and they should definitely look into using someone else. The agent my flatmate and I dealt with, Romina is a very pleasant person and very professional, prompt in answering your questions and listening to your preferences on regards to what you are looking for. All in all our experience was good but with everything there is always room for improvement and the staff were quite friendly.
