The lettings market is incredibly fast-paced, with many properties receiving significant interest and offers within days of being listed. For this particular property, we had an overwhelming number of enquiries and arranged viewings accordingly. Unfortunately, before your scheduled viewing, we received an offer from an earlier applicant that the landlord accepted.
We understand this can be frustrating, but our priority is to respect everyone’s time. That’s why we promptly informed you of the situation rather than letting you attend a viewing for a property that was no longer available, something not all agents would do.
We always strive to provide an efficient and transparent service, which has allowed us to secure tenants quickly for our landlords. However, we sincerely regret that this process left you feeling let down.

GooglePoor customer service when renting. Customer service is unreliable and has become worse. Depends on who you deal with. Service improves close to extending your lease, and only if you escalate issues. Genuine problems are not dealt with in a timely way, and is a lack of accountability.

GoogleCan’t recommend this local agent highly enough given its exceptional and personal service. Over the 15 years of owning a property in Colliers Wood with a number of lettings & managing agents, Samuel Estates have provided the gold standard in service. Their property management division has impressed me with (but not limited to) detailed assessments of works required, sensible consideration of cost, regular updates and on-site checks, and a clear mission to provide the best outcome for landlords. Here I’d mention Jade Moeller in particular.
The Lettings department has also been extremely thorough and effective in ensuring that quality tenants are found, providing sound advice and market insights. It feels like a genuine partnership rather than a rush to get tenants in, in order to start earning commission fees.
Nothing beats a local agent with a local focus - moving my property to their care has been the best decision I’ve made as a landlord.

GoogleTerrible experience with this agency. They were responsible for losing my first property after a 5 month process. Almost the week before the contract was due to be exchanged, they lied through their teeth and made an excuse not to go through with the sale. The next day the property is back on Rightmove and another offer is going through. Very suspicious so avoid with all costs.

“Our reasons for terminating the sale to Mr Richardson are entirely down to events of his own construction, Samuel Estates made every effort to maintain the sale but in the end we as the sellers felt we could not trust our buyers following a series of instances of questionable behaviour and character. This has been further evidenced by the distortion of events above.
We couldn’t recommend Samuel Estates enough and they were fantastic in getting us new buyers, and a better offer, within 2 weeks of this sale terminating.”
