GoogleNOT FaMILY FRIENDLY - They work with landlords who discriminate against families. just had the most unbelievable discussion with an incredibly rude person here who literally had a go at my wife and I when we enquired about a property. We told them we had kids and we were told that “The landlord doesn’t want kids. I work for the landlord not for you and it’s not up to you to like it or not” Such incredible rudeness and prejudice. Stay away from this place.

Good Morning Tom, Im so sorry that you feel you have been treated rudely. Customer service is at the very centre of what we do at Hunters and that is borne out by the vast majority of our google reviews. Most of our properties fall within the boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark who run landlord licensing schemes. The licences once issued will determine the number of people legally allowed to reside in a particular property. The apartment you enquired about has two bedrooms making it unsuitable for you, your wife and three children. You are right to say that we work on behalf of our landlords however the health and safety of our tenants is our primary concern. There are often multiple applicants per property, we then present any offers to a landlord, and they will make the final decision. A landlord might well decide that having 5 people in a 2 bedroom property would cause more issues than having only two people. That is their prerogative however we present all offers to our landlords. I would completely recommend avoiding this agency, they are slow to respond, have no information ready at hand and this has possibly been the most annoying process of purchasing a property with them. There was a lot of missing information that I was not provided and they basically only know how to respond when they need something. You will call them and they say they'll get back to you and just disappear. Avoid if possible.

TrustpilotSales progression team lied and not very professional.
We are in the process of buying a bungalow at the moment and the sales progression team told us the vendor had been to sort the electrics and service the boiler..previous tennants had apparently got in debt so electric was cut off..Hunters lied saying this would be sorted. A second viewing 2 weeks later and a wasted 120 mile journey confirmed nothing had been sorted. When we told them we were disappointed with them we were told to leave the property.

TrustpilotDamaged our house, and we're not even their clients!
Hunters hung a "for sale" sign on our property, which was a surprise to us, since we were neither selling nor letting the property. When asked to take it down, four visible holes have been left in the wall of our home. It has been six and a half weeks, and the holes are still there. In a couple of weeks, we're going to need to escalate this to the ombudsman.

GoogleBrett is simply the best estate agent I have ever met. He is superb, kind, honest, generous with his time and advice. He unhesitatingly helps with things way outside his job description just because he cares. I trust his advice and have benefited hugely from it. As a seller I felt looked after by Brett, but I could see he was just as kind with the buyers. I'd have no hesitation in recommending him whole heartedly to anyone.

GoogleWe are extremely happy with the service we received from Hunters. Our move was quick and smooth and our agent, Catherine Roberts, took care of everything and kept in good communication for any help we needed. It was refreshing to have everything laid out upfront, no hidden costs anywhere. Catherine made sure all of our requests to the landlord were taken care of before our move in. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a new home.

GoogleI have just sold a house with Hunters in Camberwell. Brett and his team, particularly Alex, were simply amazing throughout the process. It was difficult at times with probate involved and then the pandemic but we got there in the end. They are the best agents I have ever dealt with - professional, honest, responsive and provided feedback without me having to chase. We were particularly impressed with the app they use for viewings. If I were ever to sell or buy a property in the area again I would have no hesitation in using them. TrustpilotAgent Harj was full of fake promises
Agent Harj was full of fake promises. Although he was all smiles and seemed friendly, the minute we left after our viewing he didn’t return texts or calls and shyed away from any contact. After several calls to the agents I finally managed to find out myself that the property had been given to someone else, rather than them calling me to inform me I had to dig this information out of them which was frustrating. Avoid!

Without his involvement, I wouldn't have been able to move past the scaffolding issue that my lender raised with the property I was trying to purchase. He went above and beyond and highly recommend as an agent.

I have been trying to contact them for 4 months in regards to my flat and contract but they are absolutely appalling at responses and making things clear and helpful for those they are letting to. They have sent me in so many different directions on who to contact and have stopped responding to me within one week of me first contacting them. On top of this it took them weeks to respond and report to maintenance issues, and when they did the response I got was rude and abrupt. As well as that they issues weren't resolved fully resulting in me feeling uneasy in what was meant to be my own space. Absolutely awful service and wouldn't even consider letting/renting from them again.
