GoogleA Professional, friendly Estate Agents who will go above and beyond to help! My husband and I bought our home with John Horton over 9 years ago. When we finally moved back to Australia in 2010, we went back to John for help! He rented and managed the flat for us over several years before Horton and Garton sold it for us last year without any issues. We had complete confidence in them and they provided us with 'piece of mind' - especially as we were living on the other side of the world! It has been a pleasure dealing with them!!

GoogleIf asked to list the least trusted business groups on earth, estate agents would be up there with loan sharks, politicians and second hand car dealers. But my experience with Horton and Garton has made me rethink the conventional wisdom. At every stage in selling our house the company has shown a high level of professionalism and integrity. They appointed Martin to look after our sale from valuation to exchange of contracts. He did an excellent job. The company’s local knowledge meant that the property was valued accurately. They presented the property to the buyers clearly, no over inflated claims. And most important, they were able to call on a large group of genuine buyers almost immediately the house went on the market. Within ten days the house had been sold. Perhaps most impressive, they did not stop looking after our interests once the buyer had been found. They have helped us move the sale to exchange by acting as a genuine honest broker during the entire process. Thank you Horton and Garton.

GoogleI found the whole team very efficient and approachable; Tadas secured an offer on the house and worked really hard to ensure we turned everything around quickly. He was always quick to communicate and made the stressful parts of the process less difficult. I liked the way the agents all worked as a team and it seemed that everyone was putting their best efforts in to sell the house.

GoogleI rented my flat via Horton & Garton, and paid for credit check £50, contract £250, agency fees £120. When I paid my rent an deposit by credit card, they also charged me 7% fee, which was £420. When I complained I was shouted at and threatened. They had seemed very friendly to start with,but after the money exchanged hands, the tone changed. I would advice anybody not to use this agency, they are extremely unprofessional and extremely rude.

However, I would like to especially mention Nachelle who has recently gone above and beyond when helping with my rental property. Her communication skills are excellent, she is very approachable and is a fantastic member of the team.

They communicate well and have responded to all our requests, from us giving instruction it was less that 4 weeks to having a tenant move in and we had a choice of 4 in that time. From looking at the properties initially where being shown around was helpful and not-at-all pushy, through to the tenancy itself where we found that Horton and Garton were always available without being overbearing. In particular, I would note the ease of finishing our tenancy which can sometimes be a fraught process with a less professional agency. Overall, I would absolutely recommend them.
