Few days before I moved the agent mentioned that bulbs has been replaced. But when I came to check in 4 bulbs in kitchen and 1 bulb in bathroom was not working. Property was not professionally cleaned before tenancy start date. Agents (city docklands) did not accept any responsibility and mentioned that Landlord does not have any such obligation. Curtains were very dirty, there was moulds around windows on walls and on washing machine soap tray and door on tenancy start date. Walls were dirty, marks everywhere. Boiler was very dirty, door of the boiler broken. When I first used waching machine after 2 days of my tenancy start it appeared there was leakage and all kitchen was under water. None of them fixed by agents yet. Agents were City Docklands. The worsr experience in my life. The only thing they do was ignoring problems, not accepting any responsibility. They said they ordered new washing machine which appeared not the case yet. Still waiting for new machine. I have added videos, could not add other photos due to size limit of site.

I wouldn't even recommend City Docklands to my worst enemy. When we arrived, the house was still dirty and unfurnished. The landlord was supposedly waiting for us to give us another set of keys, but guess what no landlord was waiting for us in the house. The hob was not in a fully working condition, the shower water is scalding and the window was broken. Before our moving day, Daniel had reassured that everything was perfectly waiting for us, since when we saw the house it was still under construction. We have brought it to their attention many times, but nothing has changed. The hob not fully working is bearable but the shower is too dangerous since temperature can change in seconds. But they do not care. My advice to future costumers of City Docklands is fully check the house, do not trust the agent (the possibility of an estate agent having a soul must be 0.000001 % and less) and make him come with you do the inventory, something we did not do, since we received our inventory after a month.

I had a great experience with City Docklands. Moving to a new city and also new country can be stressful, so it is great when you can find an estate agent that is able to help you walk through the process and help you understand each step of the way. Dammy was so incredibly helpful. He was always quick to get me what I needed, answered the many questions I had along the way and I can say that I felt genuinely cared for in the process. I was able to rent a flat that feels not just like a flat, but a home and that really has meant a lot to me.

Unprofessional service - they ask for your card details upfront

Very friendly and helpful staff, but a key warning to customers that I think they need to correct - if you are leasing an apartment, they ask for all your card details up front to make a holding deposit before you can make an offer - I think this is very unprofessional and also unsafe. All other real estate agents I've been in contact with in the past when renting a flat give you their account so you can directly transfer money to their account, the usual way. Posting this so people are aware and don't accidentally disclose their card details.

Agent was a no show: Fifteen minutes past our appointment for a viewing, I called and the agent claimed that she thought she had showed the flat to me earlier. Maybe it's possible to mix up two flat seekers (in which case, that's an issue that could have been easily avoided and needs to be fixed) but then the agent claimed that anyway, we had rescheduled our appointment for later that evening. Lesson: If you're going to lie, pick one excuse and stick to it.

Matt was one of 3 agents that we asked to give us a price on the property with a view to selling it for us. We built an immediate rapport with him and even though his wasn't the highest selling price we trusted his judgement. It was a difficult time for us as the property was being sold because my in laws had passed away. Matt showed compassion which was much appreciated and gave us lots of reassurance. He kept in contact with us and we built a very good working relationship. He was very professional but also friendly and approachable. He also went the extra mile giving advice when we were waiting for answers from the council and dealing with both parties solicitors, which helped to speed up the final sale. We were very impressed with him and would recommend him to others.

They Get The Job Done On Time- Happy Landlord!

I must say, I have given my business to this Estate Agency for the last 13yrs and they have never seemed to amaze me. I have never had a void period in finding professionals to rent my one-bedroom property in SE1.
