Raj Hanspal was extremely helpful throughout the process. He introduced me to the property I bought after I had booked to look round something similar and it was a great suggestion! He was always easily contactable and kept me in the loop throughout the process. He also helped in chasing solicitors and the management company. Above all else I felt like I could trust Raj and that he was open and honest with me throughout the process.

It was a stroke of luck that brought me into the Bow branch of Felicity J Lord. As soon as I entered the office I was taken under the wing of David Greenslade, who has his finger on the pulse of all the kind of quirky, stylish properties that I was looking for in the area. Within 20 minutes I had viewings for three such properties, and within a week I had found my dream flat. Auguste accompanied me on the viewings and she always acted with professionalism, never pushy, always ready to find out the answer to a question and get back to me if she didn't have the information to hand. In my view, FJL is the best quality Estate Agent in Bow. A highly knowledgeable team, who conduct their work with passion and professionalism. FJL let my flat in Blackheath. They were very quick to find a tenant. They were also very helpful, when he moved out, in arranging at short notice to get cleaning and removal firms to come and deal with all the mess he had left behind ahead of new tenants moving in. This cost me £830. However because the old tenant had gone missing I wasn't able to get his confirmation that it could be deducted from his deposit. The letting agent (name withheld to save her embarrassment) was no help at all in solving the problem. It was only when I called the Tenancy Deposit Service some months later that I was told there is a process for such situations. I was very surprised that the letting agent didnt know this and/or didnt tell me. At that point I contacted FJL again and after lots of calls finally got referred to Jean at FJL in Bow who deals with such situations and was helpful in finally releasing my money. Top marks for Jean. Bottom marks for the letting team, and all those who failed to return my calls before I was eventually put through to Jean, the refunds expert.

Posted: 20 Jun 2022. They didn't arrange the viewing I asked for, and didn't respond to me. Updated: 28 June 2022. I tried to reach out to the individual who responded here, multiple times, but only reached other staff members, but despite hearing my concern and agreeing to arrange the viewing and get back to me, nothing has happened since. It is now 28 June 2022 and still no viewing arrangement or follow up call to advise me otherwise.

After speaking with Jean Piper on the phone she gave us her full commitment and was able to (incredibly!) get a contractor out later that day to fix the problem. The sales team are friendly and quick to respond, which is good. But the lack of transparency is a right pain. Felt like I was talking to someone who wasn't telling the whole story to either side. After we'd done the deal, I found out both parties had been asking to speak directly for ages. We ended up wasting over £4,000 on delays just because we couldn't chat directly. I must believe the initial offer wasn't even communicated and the agent decided to "refuse" just to gain a bit more money from the transaction. It's a shame, really. If they'd just let us talk to each other from the start, we could've saved a lot of time and money. Bit of a let-down, that Ultimately, the UK system is broken and most likely all these estate agents aren't fully transparent nor diligent.

Awful experience trying to let our property with them. They will not ever pick up the phone, and take ages to answer emails - we had to physically go into the branch to speak with someone. The initial advert that they put out was incorrect in so many ways (clearly copy and pasted from another), not to the price that we agreed, and overall just handled so poorly. We've had to cut ties and go to another agent as they were so uncommunicative that it became impossible to do anything.

I had the best service I could have asked for, completing on my property came with so much stress and uncertainty but Gurmukh and the rest of the team are the reason I was able to even purchase the property. My solicitor who was meant to be looking out for my best interest was absolutely useless and without Gurmukh's expertise and recommendation I would not be writing this from my new home today. I don't often write reviews but this is more than deserved, I can't thank the team enough for helping to secure my first property.
