Living in an area, you get used to passing the windows of agents but have no real idea what they are going to be like to work with. We talked to several before we met with Gavin and the team, and immediately felt comfortable that they were the best we could work with. Managing the sale of our property, the team were brilliant. Couldn't have asked for better - truly professional in the way it was handled from start to finish. Gavin was extremely knowledgeable about the local market and advised us well, accommodated our needs and acted so well in the conveyancing process. And on the rare occasions that we phoned and Gavin wasn't available, another member of the team was already up to speed on what was happening with our sale, absolutely seamlessly. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm.

Professional but personal approach, I found Gavin, Chris and the team at FJL Shad Thames to be knowledgable and realistic re the property market in the area. All viewings were conducted on time and always with genuine, serious buyers. I was constantly kept up to date and given proper feedback after each viewing and through the whole selling process. I was completely happy with the service and indeed have recommended the company to several friends who have since instructed them and sold. Highly recommended.

We had a very good experience with FJL. The team we dealt with, mainly Chris and Gavin - managed our sale excellently with good communication at all times. We put our flat on the market during a tricky time in the months following Brexit, buyers were naturally cautious. After a chat with Chris we switched to FJL after 2 months with another local agent (who to be fair did their best and were ok). FJL re marketed the flat and immediately got a good number of potential buyers into the flat. We received a decent offer fairly soon after. During the conveying period I dealt with Chris who was a pleasure to work with - very good at moving things forward. I always felt I was being told the facts and not spun a line. I would recommend using FJL Shad Thames to any potential seller out there.

Chris and the team did a great job for us selling our flat in Shad Thames. We were impressed that Chris as head of the office came to view the property and give us his considered views on price and marketing strategy, clearly backed up by lots of experience - not true of some others who were keen to have our business! In what turned out to be quite tricky market conditions, there was a steady flow of viewings and when a post Brexit wobbler dropped out, the team committed to find another buyer in short order and delivered accordingly. Thanks also to Gavin for keeping buyer and seller sane whilst the paperwork was processed. Very smoothly handled by a professional and very hard working team - thanks!

It's always bad to have an unresponsive landlord/property manager. But with FJ Lord I considered calling in the coroner as there were often no signs of life at all!!! " Could all their agents and representatives be dead?" I thought? No, just turns out they were just really bad at their jobs and the only time they'd return communications or initiate them was when money was involved. E.g. request for damage to be repaired - no replies. BUT If we suggested that we'd organise a builder to repair the damage and have the invoice sent to FJ Lord the response time was minute.... We still never managed to get the damage repaired though. Smh. Also, after some significant damage made it impossible to live in our flat FJ Lord came chasing us for rent even though we had agreed with the landlord directly (FJ Lord copied in every step of the way) that no rent would be payable! Thought this would be obvious since the place was unlivable but idk - can't help some people...

Ignored my emails for 2 weeks then called me 8 times over the course of an hour on Saturday morning (presumably for a viewing, I wouldn't know they didn't leave a voicemail). If someone doesn't pick up the phone after 2 attempts, leave a voicemail as clearly they're busy. Don't call every 5 minutes for an hour, at a time people MAY BE ASLEEP. No one likes pushy estate agents. I reached out about a few flats after this and never got any of the emails/flat details they promised to share so gave up with them
