Top class service, highly recommended!

I don't normally leave reviews online, but FJL has been so fantastic that I feel obliged to do so. I feel extremely lucky to have Martin Lawes (Greenwich branch) as my agent, he is perfect, pretty much an example for all real estate sales reps out there! Martin has great sales techniques which put clients at ease and never pressure them in purchasing decisions. He does anything that is expected from him so well. I have asked to view the flat repeatedly for 3 times, but Martin has been kind to accommodate and helps to find answers to questions that I have. What impresses me most is how Martin has been so involved in the whole process throughout, I have experienced some issues with conveyancing, but Martin has stepped in to assist me in resolving and frequently provide me with updates and professional advice, surely he is doing a better job than my solicitors!

I had suffered in a disgusting flat…

I had suffered in a disgusting flat rented in London for one year. Even though my offer was conditional (the flat must be whitewashed/painted) I had just empty promises even after the move, from Inga Nair that it will be done. Finally, I had to say enough is enough and I will suspend the rental fees with the same number of days as the far as flat is still dirty. So the painters came on the next day...Then I had to fight with the landlord to scrap the old bed. (The bed's condition it was not visible when viewing from the stuff of the previous tenant.)Then I had to fight to have the kitchen lighting (old school neon) fixed. I cleaned and painted myself the old bathtub, replaced the rusty microwave, carpet-cleaned the old sofa etc. I never had non-biassed support from Inga. She said I can replace the old bed on my account, but the new bed must stay then. Inga Nair is the kind of typical estate agent we all hate.Dishonest promises, with always smiley face.

avoid this place at all cost

avoid this place at all cost. The agent called Ayo set up an appointment on Saturday morning a couple days before the viewing. I called an hour before the viewing on the day to confirm. The people in the office claimed they got in touch with him and confirmed. Then I travelled an hour to get there only to be informed that the apartment is not available anymore. this agency has serious issues with treating people with respect and I believe this has to do with the fact that I have an ethnic name so it was okay for them to treat me this way.

Harrassed me for months about rent I did not owe

I moved out of a flat managed by the hackney branch of Felicity J Lord. After a few initial calls and emails to hand in my notice they stopped communicating at all. I was not given a check out appointment, nor given any details on how to hand back my keys.About a month after moving out I started receiving letters telling me I was in rent arrears, though I had definitely paid all the rent I was due.Getting in touch with FJL to sort this out was impossible. Nobody ever answered the phone number or email address on these letters. Whenever I called the hackney branch nobody would pick up the phone. When I emailed the staff I'd previously spoke to, they would not reply.After I'd received a few of these letters, I received emails from FJLs insurance company that strongly implied I was about to be taken to court. This was very stressful and again nobody from FJL would even speak to me never mind let me know what was going on.I did eventually manage to bypass the agent and speak directly to the landlord. The landlord also struggled to get in touch with the agent, but eventually managed to get it resolved - FJL had somehow put completely false information into their systems.I'd advise any potential tenants or landlords to find another agent - doesn't seem like FJL are capable of providing a good service to tennants or landlords.

Amazingly bad in every way

Possibly the worst-run company I have ever dealt with, in any field. They don't answer their phones, don't reply to phone messages, don't reply to emails. Our tenant moved out more than a month ago and they haven't returned his deposit, nor have they returned our keys. They failed to forward our post for years and cannot say where it ended up. Literally dozens of emails are needed to achieve even tiny things. Just extraordinarily bad on every level.

Avoid if you are a tenant!

Avoid if you are a tenant!We had a terrible experience with this agency. Long delays dealing with mould, mice and broken windows in the property. We were repeatedly lied too (such as our contract stating our money was in a DPS scheme when it wasn't) and talked down too by staff. Our rent was raised multiple times in a year and problems took months to be dealt with. I never normally write reviews but I wish I'd had someone tell me before I signed a contract.

In a world of bad estate agents these guys are the pits

Worst rental experience ever. They firstly gave us the wrong price for the property. Then Threatened to give it to someone else if we didn't pay the extra after agreeing to take it. When we moved out they tried to get us to arrange and do all the viewings for them. They then withheld our deposit for 4 months. Honestly pathetic. Especially Faisal, but the entire Hackney central branch.
