WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

we were really happy with the house we found through FJL Hackney and we submitted the holding deposit as well as all references in a timely manner. Once done the agency delayed sending our contract for more than a week telling us that the landlord had to just submit some extra document which was actually a lie. We have been notified after 3 weeks of putting down our holding deposit and less than a month before we have to vacate our current house that the landlord CANCELLED our application because his daughter will move in instead? We were not offered any other option for the inconvenience caused! We are now left homeless! Never experienced something like this after we have already paid for the holding deposit almost a month prior! Also we phoned the general manager to receive an email confirmation for the refund of our holding deposit and she was extremely rude and annoyed towards us for no reason since it’s a quite normal thing to ask for when you are let down and dropped out of a tenancy the way we were. Everyone we spoke to was highly unprofessional!We have now been waiting for over 7 days for the return of our holding deposit and we still no words from the Hackney agency!!

Worst lettings experience EVER!

If I could give Felicity J Lord -5 stars trust me, I would. Their service from start to finish was what could only be described as unprofessional and rude! From being the most irresponsive company (where they literally avoid your calls, texts or emails) or to being so incompetent that they do not get your security deposit back without having to waste time chasing them. If you can, completely avoid this lettings company unless you want to try and rent a house with a brick wall. Very very bad customer service and they do not care about tenants, just £! Avoid and all costs please, for your own sake.

Avoid renting from FJL

I highly recommend you AVOID renting from FJL. We've had an awful experience with the Hackney office.1. We've been owed overpaid rent since March, which we didn't find out about till October. When we FINALLY managed to get through to someone, they at first denied that we had paid double rent even though we had given them all the documents and proof. Later they admited we were owed this amount and then told us on several occasions they had transferred the amount, which they never actually did. We've called/emailed them almost every single day but are STILL waiting for our money. 2. On the landlord's request we moved out two days before the agreed date so are ALSO owed two days rent which we were promised to receive as soon as we vacated the property. We are also yet to receive this amount even though it has almost been a month since we've moved out.3. During our tenancy, there were a lot of faults in the property (e.g. broken radiator, broken extractor fan, broken dishwasher etc etc) which we flagged but were never resolved. They also denied us compensation for this. The broken radiator and broken extractor fan even resulted in mould.
