TrustpilotFlat wasn't ready, and a parking mix up
We rented a flat from CKB Estate Agents in the winter of 2021. When we moved in, none of the radiators worked, and so the first night's sleep I could see my own breath. I had to stay somewhere else for the next night before someone came to fix it. Surely someone comes to check the flat is ready to live in before we start paying our rent? Whilst this was all going on, I got multiple messages from CKB asking us to leave them a review - not great timing really! The advert stated that there was off-road parking which was crucial to us. After parking our car on the drive, a neighbour told us it wasn't out drive to park on. CKB said it was the landlady's fault, and the landlady blamed CKB. Whilst I think it was probably the landlady's fault, it was a shame their first reaction was to point the finger at someone else rather than help us resolve the situation. When we were moving out, we had to tell them a couple of times to remove the same parking info off the new advert, so the next tenants didn't have to go through the same problem!

GoogleMy wife and I have moved in the past month to one of this agency's property and it's completely unacceptable how the property was left for us to move in and how the agency is (not) responding. We've been waiting to have the broken and unusable furniture removed from our flat for 3 weeks. They said "professional cleaning" will be done prior to our move, but... grimy appliances, we got loads of dust/dirt bags off the carpets and even the mattress. Mould on curtains, rubbish left at the property, fixtures fallen off the walls, shower broken. We have even discovered a moth infestation as carpet is eaten off and found loads of moths in the flat. Been said loads of times "we'll get it sorted next day", "X will call you by the end of the day to fix this asap". We have even proposed to fix ourselves some of the problems in the flat and get reimbursed for that (since it was their job to leave the flat in good working order). The property was overall left to us filthy. At this point I wonder if they even care, besides the money of course.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleTerrible Estate Agents, Failed to give information, in regards to landlord accepting Children. Yet we drove over 200miles to view a the property. This should of been pointed out before make the trip. My partner and I felt undermined. False hope and Time wasters!!! Stay Away!!!

Dear Patrick, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review based on your recent experience. We completely appreciate your frustration and can only apologise on behalf of our landlord his decision not to accept children. We have escolated this with him further and the reason for his decision is that he feels the property is not suitable to accomodate children from a safety perspective (steep stairs and glass balconies surrounding the roof terrace). We were not aware that the landlord did not want to accept children in the property and was only informed of this decision at the point of relaying your offer to him. Again I completely understand your frustration and would like to welcome you to call our office to discuss the matter further with our manager who would like to offer to contribute toward any costs associated for your wasted trip. Apologies once again and we wish you the best with your property search.

Update: After leaving the 1 star review from below, we have been contacted by the property manager who was able to help fix some of the broken stuff which is detailed below. We have been told that the reason for the late repairs and cleaning was a problem in communicating with the landlord and them not approving the works. We transferred to CKB after our house sale fell through with a different estate agents 5 months after the offer was accepted. Within 4 months from advertising it was completed and sold Cengiz, Andy, Sharn and Sophie dealt with us along the way, they were all extremely helpful and kept us informed along the way. They made the situation as stress free as possible which I greatly appreciate.

GoogleGreat service from Cengiz selling our property. Was a bit of a mare with quite a drawn out process with the buyer and some unexpected setbacks but Cengiz worked hard throughout the process to make sure we went ahead and went above and beyond to help move the sale along.
