Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with CKB. After seven months, the entire sale fell through. While I appreciate that some aspects of the process were beyond the agency’s control, we were not given accurate information about the length and complexity of the chain. This proved to be a critical factor in the collapse of the sale. Had we been told the full picture from the outset, we could have planned accordingly and adjusted our expectations and timelines. Instead, we were repeatedly reassured that exchange and completion would take place within agreed deadlines. Relying on those assurances, we made important arrangements that ultimately left us at risk of being without a home. In the end, we lost seven months, spent thousands of pounds on legal fees, surveys and other costs, and had nothing to show for it. The lack of transparency and inaccurate communication throughout the process made an already stressful experience far more difficult than it needed to be.

Never go with CKB, they are the worst estate agents we’ve ever dealt with. Upon vacating the property, they tried to take £800 of our deposit, for made up reasons. We then disputed their claims, and it took over 3 months to get all of our money back from the tenancy deposit service. Poorly run, poorly organised and extremely unprofessional. Avoid at all costs! Another example of their unprofessionalism is when somebody came to knock on the door to view the property, no estate agent was there and I let them in and showed them around myself. We also had an extreme mould issue, which ruined my belongings and it took them 3 months to install a dehumidifier into the back wardrobe. I was told the mould was because of my small plant in the property, rather than the structural damage and leaks from the flat from above.

After a terrible experience with another agency I was nervous about starting the process of selling my flat but Cengiz was knowledgeable and very patient throughout. CKB were quick to find a buyer even in the midst of the pandemic, and kept us informed along the entire journey until completion. The sale was not straight forward, due to issues with cladding and also a change in management company at the final hour. During these times Cengiz wasn’t phased and went above and beyond to push the sale forward - something I doubt that other agents would have continued with with such drive. I have only good things to say about CKB Estate Agents. Cengiz was the first agent to call me after I filled in an online form that would be forwarded to several local agents. From the very beginning I found him knowledgeable and personable, and he went out of his way to answer my questions and put me at ease. He always sends follow-up emails covering what we've discussed and remembers to include links and contact information to individuals' and services that he recommends (i.e. mortgage advisers). I found this particularly commendable because so many others I spoke to said they'd follow up and never did. Parveen is also very easy to talk to and efficient at getting things done not only quickly, but correctly too. The process wasn't without hiccups, (no fault on the part of CKB) which is why I know I can trust these guys when it matters most. It is nice to deal with 'real' people who are passionate about what they do.
