The flat I was interested in viewing claimed to be available to view immediately on the ad so I called to arrange a viewing the next day. They booked me in and then called me back a few hours later to tell me there was a mistake and they wouldn't have the keys for 4 days as the current tenant was living there no viewings were being done, I explained I was very interested in the flat and wanted to be quick as I didn't want someone else to take it. They assured me I would be the first viewing and re booked me. I got a text the day before the viewing telling me that someone else had got the flat even though i was supposed to be the first viewing.

GoogleCKB Estate Agents were the first rental agents that we actually transacted with ever since we moved to the UK about 5 years ago. I was apprehensive about dealing with estate agents in general, but the staff at CKB have been very courteous and efficient especially that we literally had just 5 days from viewing to moving into the property. They understood our urgency and handled it without complaints. We interacted in person with Josh Harvey, Laura Farmery, Cengiz Kemal (on phone), Kelly Gilmour and Bethan Williams, and have to say they showed concern and performed professionally. Having said all that, they could all use a bit more smiling though. :)

Service at another level by an independent agentWe had never heard of CKB Estate Agents until we saw their brand new office in Eltham. After speaking to one of their managers we decided to rent out our property with them. It has turned out to be a really good decision as tenants were found and background checked in a matter of weeks.Since then we have had excellent service from CKB as our managing agents. We had a very urgent service request due to a high fire risk and Kelly Gilmour, our property manager, was able to make arrangements faster than tenants could confirm they would be at home to let technicians in. In less than 24 hours of the issue being reported we had a technician from the boiler company in to ensure the boiler is safe and then the following day the required electrical work was carried by a separate technician. We were very impressed by the speed and accuracy of the work. We hope to receive such good service from CKB for years to come.

I had the worst experience with CKB agent. I got a house through them and after a year, they increased the rent, we initially didn’t accept the rent increase and after thinking about it we accepted, only for CKB to ask us to leave despite the fact that we always paid on time and kept the house in good condition. They took us to court and forcibly kicked us out. It was a very terrible experience as we had to quickly sort out other form of accommodation on a short notice. The staff are so rude and unhelpful. They didn’t help when we complained about the landlord, all they were concerned about was the rent being paid on time. They are very unprofessional and rude. Dear Valencio,
Firstly, we would like to thank you for taking the time to leave us a review based on your experience. Without going into too much detail I would like to highlight the fact that the sale was proceeding as planned until the day of exchange when you attempted to renegotiate the price down by £15,000. The sellers had every intention of selling the property and since then have already agreed another sale. Your attempt to renegotiate the price at the last hour was the cause of the entire chain collapsing which you knew about and even though the seller and ourselves managed to financially contribute to your renegotiated price to try and keep the sale alive, the onward chain lost confidence in you as a buyer and decided to withdraw their property. If your renegotiation attempt was never made, you would have been happily settled in your new home by now.
Furthermore, after discussing the reasons as to why you felt the need to renegotiate the price you advised that you were unaware of the increased stamp duty liabilities once you got married. From the point you making an offer you were pushing to exchange on the property before your wedding date which indicates that you were fully aware of the increased stamp duty liabilities. Never the less thank you again for leaving a review and best of luck with your property search.
