Chesterton have been fantastic in helping us navigate the 2022 complex property market and selling our house. We initially listed with a different Upper Street agent. After a good start and as the market conditions deteriorated they seemed to give up. We got in touch with Graham Stubbs at Chesterton who remained confident our house was priced correctly and should sell. A man of his word, a few months later his team did sell our house with a very marginal discount. Guy Harden was the lead agent and he would simply not give up. However, when his colleague William Robertson came up with our buyer, they worked together fantastically with the support of Scott Abrahams to secure the sale. This was true teamwork we had not experienced with estate agents before. We could not recommend them enough.

Avoid renting with Chestertons.

I've just rented a property with Chesterton's on a Short Let, much to VERY great disappointment and upset, ruining ALL plans over the school holidays. Once moving in I called and emailed reporting that the boiler wasn’t functioning correctly along with other items but no action taken, hardly a response. In fact the only calls received from Chestertons are from the sales team to arrange viewings. As suspected the boiler breaks down and I've been left with no heating or hot water since before Christmas and am told to wait until the second week of January for it to be fixed. This will be 5 weeks into a 12 week tenancy which I've paid in full, upfront. How is is possible to leave a tenant in these circumstances because they're unwilling to treat the matter as urgent and source the parts locally to fix, instead I'm told to buy fan heaters and get a gym membership to use for showers...UNACCEPTABLE.

I had a very difficult situation and a lot of set backs in getting my new home but finally managed to get through it all thanks to my agent Amelia and her empathetic approach. Highly recommend for great staff interaction

RE: Wandsworth branch. Just wanted to give a quick mention to a lettings agency out of gratitude. We didn't end up going for a property listed with Chestertons but I felt it was worth my time to mention how well we were handled by their staff. Amelia was in charge of our account and was super consistent in messaging, finding relevant properties that fit our criteria and was very friendly throughout. She was a genuine asset to the company and speaks volumes about the organisation's staff training there. Scott Abrahams sold our flat 8 years ago, after a tough journey, so it was only natural to go to him for his help this time when we were ready to sell our house. We didn’t even consider another agent. We began conversations in a brilliant climate. The valuation was given and the property went on the market. We recently sold our flat through Chestertons and were very satisfied with the service we received. We had valuations from three other estate agents but quickly settled on Chestertons. The valuation was broadly in line with a couple of the others but we felt confident that Chestertons were best placed to deliver it. We dealt with a few members of the team but our primary contact for the successful sale was Jamie. He was excellent throughout: approachable, very responsive to our questions and had excellent knowledge of the local market. There were a few bumps along the road but Jamie dealt with these comprehensively and we would definitely recommend working with him and Chestertons.
