Superb experience with Chestertons

Superb experience with Chestertons. I needed a short term let for my son in London who was moving there from overseas. I replied to an ad for a property and Yuliya emailed me back straight away. I gave her the budget and when I needed the property for. She sourced me what was available and sent more detailed information by WhatsApp. Ultimately she had the whole thing sorted for me in 3 days and I could not have been happier with her service and professionalism. Yuliya is incredibly efficient and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I could not recommend her or Chestertons highly enough. She is a credit to the company.

Excellent Team At Chestertons

From day 1 on the first visit with Chestertons we have had a great experience. Selling houses is always stressful and our sale involved a very difficult situation. Chestertons went above and beyond. Great team, great communication, they endeavor to find solutions at all times and we have had possibly the best experience selling property with this team. I would say they have gone above and beyond. We found a great buyer almost immediately for a house that needed a lot of work, but the process has been seamless. We cant recommend highly enough. I booked a short-term let through this agency and paid a sizeable upfront fee to arrange a furnished property with an internet connection, bed linen and towels. When I moved in, the apartment was only partially furnished, there was no bedding or towels, and the Wi-Fi connection had not been set up. There were also several maintenance issues, including a completely blocked sink. It took over a week, along with extensive back-and-forth communication with multiple members of the team, to get everything resolved. The whole experience was poor with the agency from start to finish and particularly disappointing given the fee I had paid for the service. They did eventually return the fee after multiple complaints. I would not recommend this agency.

Marco Caimi has been outstanding throughout our property search. From the start, he was proactive and thoughtful in identifying properties that genuinely matched our criteria, saving us time and making the process far more efficient. He consistently went above and beyond to accommodate us, being flexible with viewing times and even offering lifts between properties or closer to home when I was heavily pregnant. Marco was incredibly patient with us, we were very particular about what we were looking for. He helped us put forward offers, ensuring they were positioned in a way most likely to be accepted by landlords. He also took the initiative to send detailed videos of properties after viewings, which was invaluable when my partner couldn’t attend in person. My first dealings with the excellent Chestertons at Islington were with the very experienced, professional and friendly Graham Stubbs, who gave me an accurate ball park valuation of my property and much useful advice beside. When I eventually came to sell, Graham arranged for this to be done “Off Market” with their own client list being targeted. The junior team involved in showing clients around were all, without exception, highly personable. Roberto Albrecht, in particular, was exceptional. Nothing was a problem, everything was clearly explained, he returned calls very promptly.and was at all times, a pleasure to deal with. The property obtained its asking price within just two weeks. I cannot recommend Chestertons Islington highly enough - real professionalism, reliable advice and a delight to deal with, to my mind the gold standard in London Estate Agency.

I was panicking about a situation of urgency. Called property management, Briana picked up, told me not to panic and that she would sort it. Terrible! Yuliya made arrangements for us to view an apartment in Pimlico, to meet Leusa there. Leusa called as we were waiting at the property and cancelled the visit as it had been leased the day before. Then we went to visit an apartment with Stefan at Thames City. We liked it, and wanted to confirm the lease as we had a short time frame to move in. Yuliya was aware of our requirements well ahead of time, for short term rental. She sent a message that the building management could not accommodate our short term requirement. Totally wasted our time!

Sleep Deprivation Torture Thanks to Chestertons Incompetence

I recently rented a property through Chestertons. The letting agents were nice enough, but the moment we were handed the keys, the property management arm of Chestertons has been an absolute nightmare. The property was filthy when we moved in, so they promised to send a cleaner. The cleaner arrived, but told me that they'd only been instructed to clean one portion of a skirting board and steam clean the carpets. When I pointed out the grimy, sticky, filthy walls in every room, I was told they 'didn't clean walls.' Turns out, that was the least of our problems. There are no keys to the windows in the apartment and they're locked shut. The alarm system, which we were given no instruction for, beeps in the middle of the night and flashes a bright blue strobe light every time my partner or I move in the night. The previous tenant left furniture and wall mirrors in an unfurnished house, and there are a bunch of other minor maintenance issues we've flagged. The answer we keep getting is that they're "looking into it" and "hope to have an update soon".
