Absolutely the worst agency I have ever dealt with, Cedar completely favour landlords over tenants. They promised that the flat would be cleaned and painted before we moved in but it wasn't, then they sounded furious when I asked them about it. I spoke to a man called Trevor who was very patronising towards me and I hope to never speak to him again. Cedar also make us pay for petty things, one of the light switches was dodgy when we moved in and broke after a couple of months. They made us pay £55 to have it fixed. They have always spoken to me in a very unprofessional manner. DO NOT RENT WITH THIS AGENCY!!!!

There are some good people who are helpful (Jordan and Sophie) and some unhelpful people (Niamh). But there are some things which don't add up here as well, namely the fees upon exiting the property. The agency can be fussy about fixing things during the tenancy as well (toilet seat was refused, even though it was broken when we moved in), they also charged us 60 GBP for a bath plug sticking issue which we were not aware of, rather than classify it as wear and tear. The agency also charged us for an inventory check but it contained incorrect information to do with gas and electric meters. They gave us next doors meter numbers which caused confusion for months. They also charged us for items left behind in the flat when we moved out, like a hoover, but these items were already there when we moved in. They also charged us for a communal hallway fee, but at no time during our stay did anyone attend to cleaning this. We did it ourselves, so to be charged 85 GPB for it at the time of moving out was ridiculous. Its things like this that leave a sour taste in the mouth despite the property being lovely. Room for a lot of improvement. The agency knows these grievances already, and frankly didn't care which is very short sighted, for when i return to London in a year, rather than staying with an agency i already know, i shall instead find a different one.

Our paperwork and offer were dealt with very quickly and we heard back from Trevor within a few hours of viewing the property (rental flat) that our offer had been accepted. Before we moved in our emails were not always answered and at times I felt not taken seriously but once we moved in and listed issues we needed sorting Viktoria came back to us promptly and solved the problems we had had straight away. All in all I would advise to go through Cedar. Just need to follow up on any concerns you might have.
