Castle Residential are a superb company to deal with - they are honest and reliable. It is refreshing to work with an estate/letting agent that have great communication. I have had several experiences with other agents and have never had such great service.I have been renting my properties with Castle for years and could not have done it without Surj & his team. The best letting/estate agents and all at a fair & reasonable cost - well worth it in my opinion!!

GoogleI have known castle residential since 2004 when we first approached them looking for a house to rent. We have been with them since and still are. I have not had any major problems with all my dealings with them. They try their best to address my concerns as quickly as possible and i have not felt neglected nor ignored by them. Bill, Surj and the castle lettings and property management teams have always made themselves available whenever i get in touch. They are well led and good team and the way they are keeping over these years is testimony enough with how well they have established themselves within the community. I have many experiences with other estate agents over the past years but Castle Residential somehow always provided me with the best service and solutions amongst all.

GoogleCompletely rude, disrespectful, and "you should be thankful I answered the phone" patronising tone by the lady we were trying to talk to. In all seriousness, complete utter shameful customer service.
And this was just trying to talk to them about properties. I can only imagine the HELL tenants have to go through to get things done if something went wrong in one of their properties.
First impressions are important, and they sure as hell don't care what people think of them or their business.

GoogleThe worst experience I ever had with an estate agency. The actual agents are nice enough, but the manager is on a power trip, taking advantage of the vulnerability of people wanting to rent in the present market. Be careful as you could lose weeks of hard work spent trying to find a property, if you dare to question anything in the unfair contract they put in front of you. They don't send you the contract in advance, so you don't have time to read it at home, they just put it in front of you in the office and you have to sign. The contract happens to be the most controlling one I have ever seen, leaving you completely at the mercy of the landlord. When we wanted to negotiate a few points in it (like we are not allowed to have more than 2 sets of keys without express permission (we are talking about a 3 bedroom house, and a family), we have to pay an unspecified amount for the inventory check out, we are not allowed visitors for longer than 3 weeks, we could be evicted if the neighbors find us too noisy after 10 PM (not as if we wanted to throw parties but I thought we have a government to regulate antisocial behaviour, you don't want to find yourself kicked out of your home because a neighbour did not like that your newborn cried too loudly) so when we wanted to negotiate about these points, we were told that they can call their manager if we have "questions". The manager, Surj Walia turned out to be the most prideful and rudest man I ever met in an estate agency. He declared we are not going to have more than 2 sets of keys, he had been in this industry and had this contract for 16 years, he is not changing it. When I suggested we are not actually contracting with him, but with the landlord (this was not an agency managed property), and requested that he just contacts the landlord and put our requests through to him, he got visibly angry, and declared he is not going to, and started talking in the rudest manner. When I requested to talk to his manager (not knowing that he does not have one), he said he will call his partner to talk to us, stood up, but returned without anybody else and declared that he actually thinks we are just not the right people to let this property to, and quickly pulled the contract out of our hands. He said he will recommend to the landlord to look for somebody else to rent the property to, and declined passing on any of our requests to the landlord or allowing us to contact him. So even though we spent weeks waiting for Castle Residential to collect all the references, and already paid the deposit, all this went out of the window just because one man felt like teaching us a lesson for questioning the contract he created (which was a lot more controlling than anything else I have seen at any other agency). Avoid.
I also noticed that he rated his own agency 5 stars below in a comment replying to a 2 star review, in an attempt to increase the average score. I don't think you are supposed to rate your own business on Google Maps.

GoogleAVOID AT ALL COSTS. This Real Estate almost falls under the definition of a scam. They put properties on the market without even having a confirmation from current tenants effectively leaving by the supposed available date for commencing a new tenancy. Cancelled the operation after having accepted our offer (and spent several days without notice) just saying that the current tenants are actually refusing to leave. Poor communication, unprofessional manners. Dodgy explanations. Avoid.
