This was the worst experience ever ! I viewed a house , liked it , W H Brown’s procedures are to ask the landlord first , if they approve , the applicant must pay a deposit of 155 pounds and then applicant must submit an application and provide personal infos such as bank details , work related contact details and reference for current tenancy . I have provided them everything they asked for and I even contacted the landlord to give my notice period after W H Brown assured me that I’m taking the property . W H Brown themselves sent my current landlord for his reference , and suddenly I call them to check the status , and the very professional nice lady there told me that she was going to call me to tell me that the landlord changed his mind . After they took the money and they sent a reference to my current landlord. Plus all that , they can’t pay me back the 155 pounds because the finance department closed down until further notice ! You have no right to keep my money in your account for a mistake that I didn’t do ! I highly advise everyone NOT to deal with W H Brown !

More clowns than the local circus.. My partner and I viewed a property for sale with William H Brown. We later decided we would like to make an offer on the property. I called the agents i explained to them id like to make an offer, she told me i would have to speak to the sales team they and they would give me a call back ASAP... I waited 2 hours before calling them again i then got through to someone else who transferred me straight to the sales team where i told the person the offer i would like to make. They thanked me for my offer and said i would receive an email to confirm it and a posted letter to my address within 24hrs.... 2 days later i received no email and no letter. i called the branch again and asked to speak to a manager. I was then put through to a manager who had no record of me making any offer. She invited me into the branch to discuss the offer and to review what position my partner and i were in to buy the property. At this point i thought my offer was being taken seriously... 5 days later i went to the branch for the meeting with the manager. She sat me down and then asked me what was my purpose of the visit (remortgage, looking to buy, or just looking..) How un professional can you get, she clearly had no idea what i had came in for and had taken no notes from our phone call .... it gets much worse than this I'm afraid.. I then told her i had already made an offer on a property which they are selling. She checked my file on her system to then find there was no record of any offer on any property. (beginning to think they are just winding me up). So before i left from the meeting i just double checked the offer was formally made and 100% in the system. She confirmed that with me. We called the next day to follow up our offer then told us the offer has been declined. We then offered a higher price, they told us they would get back to us with the result. We then took another look at the listing on zoopla to find that the house we are offering on was a repossession and the highest offer will be added to the description on the property as a "public notice" which we understand is the usual procedure for repossessed properties. Now this is not a problem but the problem was the agents should have told us this before offering and also the offer which was on the listing was higher than both of our offers. So why did they waste our time telling us they will get back to us with the verdict of our offer when they already know another party has offered higher than ours. Why call us in to the branch to take time out of our day if our offer isn't even being taking seriously. Biggest waste of time in my life. I really like the property and would be willing to offer more for it but this branch have given me the worst headache over all of this its better for my health to let this one go. Will swerve way clear of any property being sold by William H Brown in the Future.

Turned up for a 3:30pm viewing on Saturday, the agent never turned up. We waited for 20 mins either side of the appointment outside the property so of course gave up byt his point. Tried to call several times with no answer. Another couple were waiting outside who said they also had their appointment at 3:30pm...double booked, nice. Called today to get an answer to what happened, they essentially called me a liar saying the agent was in fact there (bear in mind TWO couples waited and both have said they weren't there). They then denied we were double booked, then slipped up by mentioning THREE couples were looking at the flat. When I asked for an answer, she said "I will be taking my colleague's word for it, is there anything else I can help with?". Erm NO. Never, EVER again, thanks!
