Thanks to Preston Baker we are now happy first time landlords. First contacts were with Duncan who came to do the valuation and then answered all of our questions. I had no reserve in signing the contract after speaking to him. Great professionalism. I can't praise enough the letting manager, Tom Hawes, who took care of the viewings and kept constantly in touch with us through all the process (despite us being abroad). We got excellent offers at the property launch and we just had to choose. Tom was really helpful also at that stage. He listened and understood our needs and everything went smooth. Also our tenants confirmed that their dealing with the agency and with Tom in particular was an excellent experience. Thanks to Tom and all staff at Preston Baker, working very hard through these difficult times.

Actively looking buyers

As buyers looking in a competitive marketplace, Preston Baker have been great. They are certainly the most pro-active agents we've come across and Laura has been a huge help in helping our search! Laura and everyone we've spoken to have been really helpful and friendly, they are really approachable in quite a daunting marketplace. Being able to hear about what's coming up has been a huge help and it's been nice to hear from them regularly rather than just when we call them.

Impossible to get a hold of. Bad customer service

Impossible to get a hold of. Viewed a property on a Monday, sent a follow up email with questions about the property the following day. Never received a response, even after sending a further follow up email. Phoned the office every day until Friday, leaving two voicemails to which I never received a response. Finally got through to the office phone on Friday and was told that the property had been taken following a viewing on Thursday. Poor customer service. This was the Oakwood branch.

Absolutely horrible experience as first time buyers. This agency is using independent contractors who are completely incompetent! We tried to purchase a property through them. The independent contractor Danielle C showed us the property and reassured us more than 10 times it was of standard construction. After over 500 gbp paid in agency fees and 2 months of paperwork, the bank came back to us to say it's non-standard! The agency refuses to give us a refund and to acknowledge that they have made a mistake of not properly checking and advertising the property!What a nightmare!

Heartless and Unprofessional.If I could give zero stars, I would. After my mother tragically passed away during the process of selling her bungalow, we had no choice but to withdraw from the sale due to the emotional and logistical upheaval. Instead of showing any compassion or understanding, this estate agent refused to return our deposit, adding insult to an already devastating situation after previously being told by Kirsty that in extreme circumstances these had been refunded - I feel this is as extreme as it gets?Before this, there had been issues of potential buyers turning up without viewings, and also when we had accepted an offer also the buyer turning up a handful of times within 1 week to see why it was taking so long..Their lack of empathy and outright refusal to accommodate the circumstances was appalling. The entire experience with this company was nothing short of a nightmare and has definitely felt more towards the sales than the “small run” company they make out to be. Even having contact with owners, who just passed it on to Kirsty herself.Avoid this agency at all costs. They are heartless, unprofessional, and clearly prioritise profit over people to which I am now seeking legal advice.A deeply upsetting experience that I would not wish on anyone.

Passion and commitment - Preston Baker (Cross Gates, Leeds)

Having tried to sell my house in the past with another agent, I know what poor service can look/feel like. However, I am very pleased with Preston Baker. Dealt with the Cross Gates team in Leeds. Cathy was passionate and energetic from the word go, and Adam was a star as he kept me constantly informed of progress. He often went beyond his remit to help out, and made me feel Preston Baker were as keen on selling the house as I was. And after we agreed on a sale, Ashley kept me informed throughout like clockwork.In summary, Preston Baker came across as agents who clearly know what they are doing. It appears that they have good processes/systems that ensures we do not feel lost in the process.Thanks Cathy, Adam and Ashley.

Preston baker have been amazing in comparison to other estate agents I have had dealings with and they made my experience feel unique to me and ensured I was offered the most suitable advice for my needs and circumstances.My estate agent Adam was friendly and polite and has been a pleasure to deal with while putting me at ease by sharing his own experiences. Excellent service from Preston Baker - I am the executor selling my recently deceased father's bungalow and Charlotte, who has been handling this for me has been really great in helping me work through this - the sale is being split four ways between myself my sister and my step mum's two children so we wanted a quick and hassle free way of selling the property - Charlotte has kept me informed and given me excellent professional advice throughout - after a few weeks with not much activity we had a conversation about lowering the price and although Charlotte left the decision ultimately to me her advice and expertise led to me reducing the price and we now have a buyer which is an excellent result - Charlotte has been approachable throughout and kept me fully up to date on progress during the sale. The work Preston Baker did before the bungalow went on the market was excellent too in taking photos and doing a video and launching the sale. Overall very happy with the standard of service

Smooth process

There wasn’t an option for ‘good’ only ‘average’ or ‘great’. I would say the communication from Chloe has been great. Clara has also been very helpful. The process since buying has been smooth and communication has been really good. Although I would say the house viewing was average. When we were shown around the property by a different sales person, he wasn’t able to answer any questions at all, some were quite basic like how old the house was, who the developer was, if there was a factors fee, if there was a chain etc, we really liked the property so it didn’t put us off. We were able to chase most of this up afterwards.

We put our house on the market with Preston Baker in January of this year, as we were told that the house should sell ,however after a few viewings this wasn't the case,although Ashley was keeping us informed as to how the market was going .it was about may when Ashley had to take over another branch of Preston Baker that Chloe took over from Ashley, wow what a day that was,Chloe organised the photographer to come and take more photos, Chloe came and did the viewings and yes we have sold.thanks to the whole team at Preston Baker.
