Absolutely fantastic,All of the staff are brilliant, I have no problem with them whatsoever.Sally was the main negotiator, to me, she is warm and friendly. Sally was a pleasure to talk to on the phone, also such a lovely lady when I went into the Office. Sally was very sympathetic when we had problems lower down the chain.We had a lot of fun during this transaction.Although it was 'definitely' performed in a professional manor.Cathy who came to view the house was also fantastic. Cathy also was exactly the same. A pleasure to talk to.Laura and Tasha, who I may add, were not quite (in the loop) but they were equally as helpful, if for say, Sally or Cathy were busy.Lee, who sits in the back, was also there for help, if for instance I went in on a Saturday and "the girls" weren't available.In all, it was a brilliant experience.Yes, we had problems, "down the line" but the way that the kids atPreston Baker took it on board and sorted out the problem wasTop Drawer.Sarah Jane, who moved to the Leeds Office, I think, was the first person that I met, she is equally fantastic.The bottom line is, what a lovely experience, thank you.Such a great family business, well done, keep up the good work.

Adviser came to discuss mortgages with us, she introduced herself, gave us a full explanation of what she would be discussing including any charges and all the contact details, plus compliance requirements.Asked lots of questions to find our requirements all in a nice friendly manner (a discussion not an interrogation) made us feel we were talking to a friend.Once she had all facts but also our feelings on the what we required she said that now would go away and work out the best solutions from the information then return and discuss the different options.There was no pressure to do anything if we didn't want to.Would certainly recommend the service.

Buying my first property with Preston Baker

I bought my first property through Preston Baker and they were very helpful from the beginning to the end of the process. Minnie O'Rourke was so personable yet professional every time I met with her and she organised my mortgage application both quickly and efficiently as well as my health and contents insurance. I had an issue with the sellers solicitors and Preston Baker were on their case trying to make the process as painless as possible for me! I can't thank everyone that I came into contact with at Preston Baker enough!

Minnie is the best!

My and boyfriend and I are first time buyers and thank god we have Minnie to advise us on all things mortgage related! She is always available to answer our million and one questions (no matter how stupid they may be) and even helped us apply for a mortgage when she wasn't supposed to be working due to just having had an operation. She's made the mortgage process so much easier and practically stress free- without her we wouldn't have had a clue! I would recommend Minnie to anyone who needs help applying for a mortgage/ advice regarding mortgages. She's friendly and made us feel as ease from the get go. She's an approachable and lovely person who genuinely cares about her clients.

I have had the pleasure of working with both Carrie and Julian from the Oakwood branch twice this year and I have to say they have been absolutely delightful . Julian is really easy to work with and is not only professional but well informed on the properties he recommends , he doesn't come across pushy in any way which is very refreshing and he moves quickly to negotiate the best deal possible, he actually listens ! Carrie has also been wonderul to work with , very helpful and always able to answer any queries quickly and smoothly , she makes the whole admin process simple as possible and is happy to talk any time . I would highly recommend Preston Baker Oakwood as they not only have a great selection of properties but the nicest people to work with .

This is a review of Jess Foxe's work. Jess has been very helpful, efficient and friendly. Seems to be always there when we want her and ready and pleased to answer questions. We now have what looks like a good offer which we have accepted. We still have someway to go before the business is concluded - but first class marks so far.The company itself has so far been very good. More informed and on the ball than the other estate agents we interviewed. Helps that Darren lives in and understands the area. While putting our interests first - as he shd - he does convey a reasonable degree of empathy for the other side - which we think is helpful. Of course we are only two thirds or so through our sale - but so far it has been managed well.

Always friendly and helpful staff. I think it makes a difference that they live locally so know the area and the property in that area really well. Jess has been there for ages and knows everything that is happening. Her valuation was spot on !! Parking was a bit tight at the office but if your looking for a premium agent and don't mind paying a bit more in fees these guys will be the right choice for you.

Early Promise But Ultimately Let Down

Preston Baker put us in touch with Raheel of Feelgood Financial (who are a subsidiary of Preston Baker) with regards to mortgage advice.Early impressions were very positive; Raheel was prompt with his introductory call, highly professional, polite and took the time to ascertain our financial situation, wishes and made some sound recommendations thereafter. We asked for a couple of days to consider our options and promptly replied with our wishes.At this stage it all went quiet. Numerous emails and texts went unresponded to for days. Eventually, around a week later, Raheel did get back in touch to say he'd had a health scare and apologised. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and instructed him to continue advancing matters for us. He responded to say he'd be back in touch that weekend (this was on the Thursday).We never got that update and still, another 5 days later, we've heard nothing so enough is enough, we're going to take our business elsewhere. We probably remained patient longer than we should have.Even if the initial reason given was genuine, the mortgage market is so fluid and fast paced right now that deals can be pulled in a flash so prompt, efficient communication is key. Whatever the reason for no communication, Raheel (and the organisation he represents) should have contingency plans in place for unforeseen circumstances so the client remains unaffected.What started off very positively and promising was rapidly soured so, unfortunately, there's no way I could recommend Preston Baker and the mortgage brokering services they offer via Feelgood Financial.

Rachel Lansdell at the Oakwood branch, sold my late father's property in a week. Its was between Preston Baker and another big local estate agents.Rachel valued the property a lot higher than the others. We got well above the asking price.Preston Baker have been very professional, everything they promised about marketing was delivered above my expectations.Constant updates and advice all the way through.Would highly recommend, due to the fact, Preston Baker made its competition look very amateur!!!!

You managed to sell our house to someone who had NO MONEY to pay for it, your After Sales Client Care Manager was rude and downright lied to us on numerous occasions. So I saw the house of my dreams this morning online and immediately booked a viewing for the first possible time I'd be able to do, which was 5pm on a Friday, yikes, Angela came and met us there with the biggest smile on her face which was so refreshing, I did apologise straight away for bringing her out at that time and she just smiled and said no worries at all and that she had a viewing later on anyway, she didnt mind how long we took looking around and was so knowledgeable about the property, she gave us the facts and the realities which is exactly what people need to hear and I can tell she is so genuine, she must sell so many houses what a lovely girl, there's not much that would usually stop me in my tracks from a friday beverage but I needed to come on and write a review because I am in sales too and sales is HARD at the best of times and can be so emotionally draining so credit where credit is due, we havent even offered yet but will be doing so! Thanks Angela, hopefully you get a chance for a glass of vino at the weekend you deserve it! Hol and Dom xx (plus overbearing parents) ;)

Hedley came to view our property. He was prompt, introduced himself and the company prior to viewing.He was professional and respectful at all times and only proceeded to view when asked to do so. Throughout, he was engaging - asking only appropriate and relevant questions. He even shared some of his views and visions on the future prospects of our home and what new buyers would be looking for, which I found very interesting. He had clearly done his homework/research prior and provided me with an expected and realistic valuation. He provided some advice about "pre-sale clearouts" to promote a better selling opportunity - again which I found extremely useful. All in all - a very positive experience. Thank you.

From a buyers point of view, they are the estate agents to avoid.

Too much stressful experience. Throughout the process, there were allegations being put on us as to if we were non-serious buyers. No polite way to communicate. Always questioning and that too as if you are being instructed to do it asap. On the day of completion, no way to organise the hand over of keys. The estate agent didn't picked our phone and we had to stand outside the house for an hour in cold with a one year old. Totally unacceptable behavior

Why is it so difficult to view a house and they give you so little time for such a big purchase. You wait a week to view , they take ages to get back to you and you can do it Mon-Fri 9-5 , and you work like most people full time , do you have to take a day off everytime you want to viewCatch up with modern life evenings and weekends !

I reserved a plot in stainforth in feb…

I reserved a plot in stainforth in feb 22, got a mortgage offer in July what lasts till dec 22 and was going to use the help to buy. The reservation agreed that the house will be built by autumn 22. After sending several emails to the sales manager asking what is happening and getting no replies I went to have a look at the site. The site is half done and my plot 1000% won’t be built by autumn 22 therefore looking out on the government incentives and my mortgage offer.I have emailed loads of times to ask what is happening but still no reply, I am trying to request my reservation fee back but can’t get through to any one still. It has been embarrassing from start to finish from the sales team- Sophie and Adam. I’m a first time buyer and this has put me off buying.There has been nothing buy trouble and messing about with them and the site. Poorly managed and poorly sold by Preston baker. I’m not one for drama but has I’ve had no replies and can’t formally complain on there website I’ve reverted to this. Just want to add. I’d give 5 out of 5 stars to the mortgage advisor for Preston baker but the sales team and how they have managed me is terrible and wrong.
