AMAZING service from start to finish selling with Bridgfords. The marketing of the property was top notch with professional photos and guidance. They arranged an open day for viewings allowing us to have a few hours to let people in and everything was cleaned and disinfected after each visit. We got over 5% above asking price and their fee was more than competitive, I would have expected to pay a lot more for the service provided. I would like to thank Debbie and Stacey for their amazing attitude, hard work and for putting us at ease with moving house in these difficult times.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I've done several viewings with Kian at Bridgfords and have found him to be very efficient, quick to respond, friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend Kian/Bridgfords to anyone looking to view or buy properties in Leeds as you always know you're in good hands in terms of expertise, great communication and willingness to help.

What an absolutely diabolical situation me and a friend of mine were in. We had 3 weeks to search for a suitable property close to where it needed to be for us. Not only did Philippa, Carrie and Elliot help us in finding, searching and securing a property but the whole of the Bridgfords team were very welcoming and understanding of our situation. If you are searching for a property I highly recommend you visit this letting agents. A huge thanks of appreciation could not simply be enough to commend these guys so I had to write a review and inform you all. Thanks again to Philippa, Carrie and Elliot and the rest of the Bridgfords team, keep doing what you’re doing. Amazing. Many Thanks Ben & Paul

Below is feedback we have shared with them which has, fittingly, been completely ignored. Firstly we were told that there had been a slight pest problem that had been resolved before we moved in. We subsequently spent over a month setting traps to catch cockroaches which were laying eggs in our apartment. We were told that they could not find another key at the time of moving in and that one would be posted asap. We were not contacted again and we had to request constantly for weeks, in which two working people were sharing one set of keys. Along with this and many other things along the way, including not being able to shower for nearly a month. Not only this, I was asked to come home from work several times (in which I had to use add hours to my working week) because despite me frequently reminding the Branch, they had not found the Agency keys that they had misplaced. The moving out process seemed very disjointed. After handing in our notice and letting the Branch know that we could move early it wasn´t until we rang up to follow up that it was brought to attention and subsequently put on the market with September being a much easier month to rent. Thus it was rented on the first visit. We also requested for a landlord reference so that we could move into our new property. It took over two weeks and only happened once I myself called Head Office and rushed it through, without which we would have had to delay our move-in day. As a last note, it was only upon me going into Branch that an actual moving out date was assigned. We consistently paid rent on time and have kept the flat clean and respected it as our home. Given the above, you can see how we might feel slightly aggrieved that we were subsequently charged the full admin fee for cleaning the property despite spending two days making it spotless. As it stands we are still waiting to receive our deposit back or our overpaid rent. We moved out over a month ago. Had we been the ones owing this money I am sure the Branch would have been delightfully proactive.

I was placed into a very stressful situation. With my existing tenancy agreement ending i had to acquire a contract for a new establishment in a short amount of time. That being said, June is a hugely busy time of the year for letting agents making it near impossible to get a contract specifically in this month. The Bridgfords team were extremely compliant in dealing with my request. In particular I found Philippa to be attentive, helpful and knowledgeable and she maintained a positive mindset throughout the process of it all which really gave me hope in finding a place to live. Five stars could not be enough to give her (however I’m limited on this) I highly recommend using this letting agents. The whole team go above and beyond. Thanks for everything Best Wishes Paul & Ben

Branch staff good, conveyancing beyond horrendous

Started the journey of selling my flat with Bridgfords well, great listing, quickly found a buyer, then Bridgfords conveyancing service took over and was incompetent at every turn. 6 months on from accepting an offer I’ve had to end the sale as my mental health couldn’t handle anymore of the misleading, lies and gaslighting from their conveyancers. Was so bad even the branch staff said they were embarrassed at how bad it was.

If I could put 0 I would

If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people

Very professional and good service with open doors. Emma, the In House Mortgage Advisor was exceptional as she helped me with advice with the process on purchasing the first property. She gave me advice, in regards to finding a suitable and financial mortgage plan and to get an agreement in principal , she was also able to contact the sellers and their agents and find up to date information on the processes, especially when sellers go quiet and give “ no replies to an offer or a query asked”. However was eventually able to purchase my first property, especially after withdrawing on a previous property that had structural issues. I recommended a close friend afterwards, as they were also purchasing their first home as well.

The friendliest, most helpful estate agents I’ve ever dealt with! Recently purchased a property through Bridgfords at Roberts Wharf which I love. I can’t thank Cary and her colleagues enough for guiding me through the process and making the process as stress free and transparent as possible. She has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty to secure the best outcome for me. I’ve already been in touch with the lettings side who I look forward to renting out my property with as soon as the purchase goes through! Thank you again Cary

My experience with bridgfords leeds is disgusting, Last month I moved into a flat in leeds which were represented by bridgford lettings and i found nothing working in that flat, everything was damaged over-there, lights were not working, no hot water, chairs were broken, mould over kitchen platform, we kept on complaining about that but nobody listened to us, then we decided to move out of that flat and we did early termination of the property because i was pregnant and I can’t afford to stay in that useless flat, and its been a month and half now, we were told that they found a new tenant and we were asked to return the keys and we did returned the keys but now they said they don’t have any new tenant for this property and we have to pay the rent even if we don’t have keys of the property, we no more stay there but still we have to pay the rent , the staff at brigdfords don’t have coordination in themselves, one person said something and other said entirely opposite scenario, they made our life hell with these confusions, this is so so so annoying to deal with the people like them, and when we call them they speak so rude nobody is listening to us.

Where do I begin… The fees! £300 EACH for admin fees, in total it cost around £2125 to move into a one bed with balcony. Although Bridgfords had the most extortionate fees in our naivety in property searching we figured ‘you get what you pay for’. Blinded by fancy marketing and a decent sales pitch we went ahead. The paperwork was quickly signed, we had a move in date and started to relax. Upon moving in the flat wasn’t up to a ‘professional cleaning’ standard. This is when the problems began… First the fan oven wasn’t covered and didn’t work but again I overlooked this. The microwave blew in the 1/2 month and despite sending several e-mails and contacting them this sat and gathered dust under the dining table for the ENTIRE tenancy. The fridge freezer then broke in the third month and after reporting took 6-8 weeks to replace, we had to spend £100 on a mini fridge. The lightbulbs could not be changed because the fixtures didn’t come away from the ceiling and despite requesting them to be changed towards the last few months of the tenancy this never happened and they lumped us with an overpriced charge for lightbulbs. After an inspection towards the end of the tenancy they stated how the carpet had never been replaced since the building opened! There was a mark in the bathroom sink which had been covered with white sealant throughout our tenancy. This began to rub off due to usage and the mark became visible, this was charged into our deposit. We left the flat spotless, I took pictures of every corner of the flat but were charged with a £50 ‘general clean’ fee which I doubt was used considering how clean it was when we moved in. During an August bank holiday weekend our rent hadn’t gone out on time and because of this they quickly rang us for the money so we direct debited them the amount thinking the standing order was playing up. The standing order then left the bank after the bank holiday weekend and this took several days on end to retrieve leaving us penniless. (we did not fill in our inventory in time therefore I accepted the charges without an issue- a lesson learnt) The Landlord has been an absolute nightmare throughout, alongside Bridgfords taking weeks to fix anything and e-mails were either replied to sparingly or not at all. Phone calls never returned even after being hurried off the phone with the promise of a ‘call back’ with an update. The managers are dreadful, no customer service skills, rude, impatient, and the rest of the staff look young and inexperienced. This was overall an upsetting experience for first time renters and left us wondering how to leave Bridgfords far behind us. This unfortunately wasn’t the case. After 10 days I contacted Bridgfords regarding the return of our deposit totalling nearly £800 with the reductions of £145 which we were appalled by but simply agreed in order to get our deposit back as quickly as possible. Particularly after spending a lot to move into a new property with a different letting agent called Morgan’s whom have been brilliant! We received an email asking for our payment details to return the deposit which we provided. The deposit never arrived and after several calls/e-mails and even after visiting we were getting nowhere. We were told to hold off filing a dispute because the landlord had ‘verbally agreed to the deposit return’ but without written agreement nothing could move forward. So we filed a dispute with mydeposits whom hold the money. We spent Christmas incredibly conservatively and after ringing over and over and getting nowhere with Bridgfords whom stated they were trying everything to get the landlord to sign our deposit returned... which I believed but the lack of communication left me in the dark without the money owed to me. After filing with a third party adjudicator the landlord never responded… over 3 1/2 months we finally have our deposit back. I cannot tell you the stress we have faced throughout this ordeal and how drained we have felt the past few months. I’m amazed at everything we’ve gone through, never, ever again.

Initially booked an appointment in Leeds to view a rental property at 13:30. The Gentleman I booked it with then rang back saying it would have to be changed to 13:45. I reluctantly agreed as my partner had an appointment at the other side at Leeds soon after. The gentleman agreed that they would be prompt and that someone would be in touch with regards to where to meet etc. A week later, today in fact, I tried to ring the office numerous times to establish where to meet. My partner and I had to take initiative and just arrive at the property with five minutes to spare. Whilst there we managed to get tough and they said their representative would be on time. 5 minutes late they said they would be maximum five minutes as the preceding appointment overran (so apparently they take priority). Eventually the person tuned up 22 minutes late by which time we had to take a taxi directly to my partner's appointment and couldn't see the apartment. I have personally spent over £35 on a return ticket from Alnmouth to Leeds to see this property and my partner over £10 on taxis purely due to the sher incompetence of this company and this branch inparticular. What made matters worse was the incredibly weak and evidently well used apology with a range of different excuses to why the representative was late so obviously lies. One was his phone died so couldn't contact the office. That in itself is unprofessional and still doesn't explain why he was so late. Avoid if you can!

Started my tenancy with Bridgfords in August 2016 and before my start up until the end this year it has been most dreadful experience of renting in the five years I've been in Leeds. Monique my original property manager who signed me up and dealt with my property was lovely I first thought. There was a lot of issues at the start such as being told I couldn't move in on the day due to issues with the mortgage payments then when I moved in it wasn't clean and the inventory was wrong and not updated and there were holes in the walls and works that needed to be done which took a month in total. The landlord was lovely and a great help however as he wished to do it himself it took around a month to do which meant I couldn't start living properly for a month and didn't have much privacy at the time. After this I tried contacting Monique several times in regards to outstanding work issues however I was never informed the process had changed or that Monique had left in November/December. I am still not sure when she exactly left. Due to this everything she promised and told me when it's come to my checkout it's caused so many issues. And the new property manager Nathaniel has not been helpful at all. Advising 12 light bulbs were out when this was not the case when I left the property and advising it was not clean when the checkout advises cleaned to a high standard and they advise it was not with the fridge freezer and oven. However on my inventory and pictures I took when I first moved in there are no pictures of the inside of the oven or the fridge freezer and I know for the fact that these were dirty and had heavy wear and tear. Although I've objected to this my complaints have not been heard and they did not even have the updated inventory on their records so it looks like Monique may have not forwarded it on. I would recommend everyone staying away from this company. Emails agents answered in a timely fashion it's been a months and a half since I moved out and I still haven't received my deposit back although I sent an email on 29/09/17 with it confirmed I agreed to the deductions however until I rang on 6/10/17 they hadn't even confirmed they had received it or advised if I was getting it back which upon phoning them they hadn't even processed it! Absolutely atrocious and this is just my experience. Recommend going with another agent in Leeds centre as plenty of better ones than these guys.

I have been with Bridgfords for over four months now and have encountered numerous issues some of which have still not been resolved (which is why I am writing this review). On the day I moved in, I had to wait over 2 hours in the office just to collect the keys which set the tone for my whole experience. I found the flat not to be in an acceptable standard with food stuck to the walls. There were numerous issues with features of the flat (doors not functioning properly and part of the flushing mechanism not working in one bathroom), these issues have still not been fixed and I moved in at the start of August, just the four month wait then! I have contacted Bridfords via e-mail and actually went to the office and this is still not sorted. My advice to you would be to avoid this company at all costs or you will end up paying £300 in 'fees' and getting nothing in return for this huge out lay

I understand from my colleague in the lettings office that we resolved this problem on the day and tried to make amends for the delay you encountered in branch when collecting your keys. I recently had a very disappointing experience. After viewing a flat, I reached out multiple times to proceed with the application process. Despite visiting your branch in person and speaking with another employee over the phone, I received no updates or follow-through. My email inquiries about this property and other available flats have also gone unanswered. This lack of communication and professionalism is frustrating and unacceptable. You should not leave potential tenants in limbo; at the very least, you should provide a clear response regarding your interest in letting the property. I hope you improve your customer service and communication practices.

Unnecessarily awkward to deal with, were really rude and slow on communication with my partner when discussing contract renewal with possible rent reduction due to the scaffolding. Attempted to book flat viewings with less than 24 hours notice which were then a no-show with no notice. Asked as nicely as possible to be contacted about any future viewings as I WFH but would be happy to move around calls etc. if they needed, absolutely zero compromise on their side as they haven’t bothered to do this. Can’t get through via phone most times we attempt to call to rectify issues.

My brief experience has been disappointing so far so I'm putting 2 stars. Had two viewings booked with them and experience was fine until today. Turned up to a verified booking, waited around before calling the office since no one had showed up. Took a few times to get through which is okay, phone was answered and was told I would receive a call back with an update. I received no call but rather a text telling me my viewing in a place completely different had been cancelled. No further contact. Just disappointing and disorganised, which is a red flag for me!
