Great service and professionalism

Julia and Theo were very helpful, efficient and prompt throughout the whole process of selling our property.When we had issue after issue because of the buyer/their solicitor, they worked hard to ensured that we completed by all means possible. They had to work with a very difficult conveyancer and maintained professionalism throughout the process.

Absolutely amazing customer service…

Absolutely amazing customer service from these guys. From viewings to completion they have been more than helpful to ease the stress of selling. We've just sold 2 properties with them after our previous estate agents had been less than sufficient! So glad we made the decision to give Bettermove a chance. Special mention to Julia for going over and above to get our recent completion over the line in time! Would definitely recommend.

help from Richard Blackburn in finding out about and viewing a property in Shildon.Any efforts to eliminate the "gazumping" approaches of many estate agents is to be applauded.We have been affected in this way at least 6 times over the past 6 months or so since selling our property in N. I was told by better move that the lady buying the property offered £150, 000 I have spoke to her myself as she said she never offered that she said she offered £161,000 but better move told her we turned it down, we were never offered £161,000 if we had been offered £161,000 theres a good chance we would have accepted it, but she ended up paying £163,000,she also didn't know that she paid our legal fees, surely this could allegedly be fraudulent

Buyers perspective - Excellent service for Julia and team. BUT take note of the contract and reservation fee

The whole experience with Julia and the team was very positive. Julia is incredibly responsive and works hard for both the seller and buyer to help the transaction move quickly and smoothly. Her attitude and work ethic really shone through. Julia's assistant, Theo was also very helpful on the administrative side of things. The only concern I had was when it came to receiving the reservation fee back which took longer than expected (and indeed longer than the contract specified) and had to be chased. This needs work properly as generally a buyer you need the money back promptly for furniture/maintenance/bills. I believe this was down to how busy it was before the stamp duty deadline so I did not take a star away for this. I would urge any potential buyer to read and consider the reservation contract, noting your obligations, before handing over your money. On the website it says 'If a sale is agreed, we will ensure the buyer pays a non refundable reservation fee as sign of commitment.' I do not like the wording of this, and would prefer it to say something along the lines of 'a deposit is paid by the buyer to help prevent gazumping, subject to no issues with the property, with the seller also committed to the sale. The deposit is refundable upon completion'. Or something along these lines. There is no doubt it's written with the seller in mind. Overall very happy. It's worked out well for me and I'm settled in my new home. Thanks Julia and the team.
