I cannot understand why there are not more poor reviews….hard sales pitch/call with lots of promises, and then passed over to another person who’ll tell you as little as possible! We were lied to from the very beginning- there were no investors waiting, they are no different to high street agent. Property will go on rightmove and zoopla like every high street agent, meaning if they don’t sell it, you won’t be able to go back to a high street agents at an open market price without prospective buyers being able to see it, so your property is permanently devalued if they do not sell…Very vague when I asked questions about their processes, now I know why…. Whenever I asked for confirmation of what Will was telling me by phone (because I was dubious about what he was saying) it never ever came…Called us to take a viewing from a prospective buyer that wasn’t even on the market & they knew absolutely nothing about ….. when we questioned this we were then told this shouldn’t have happened! It absolutely shouldn’t have, we could have kept it on with a high street agent and saved ourselves tens of thousands of pounds if we wanted to take viewings from such buyers, instead of dropping £40k+ to get a sale from a buyer with no chain.They will lower the price on rightmove, further devaluing the property, without even notifying you. When I spoke to Will about this I was told that if it didn’t sell he could put it back up to what it was before lowering, at the end of the contract so there would be no online foot print of this. I requested this in writing via email and surprise surprise it wasn’t provided…… Now we are trying to end the contract by giving notice they are claiming the notice period ends on the date it was marketed, which is made up, nowhere is this stated in the contract or terms or conditions. It took an extra 2 weeks to go on the market because they couldn’t get a freelance photographer for over a week.In summary….. they haven’t sold our property, not one viewing in 2 months, we reduced the price by £40k for a quick sale, and now we are unsold, and at least £40k worse off, only option left is to sell to a cash buying house company and lose even more, or go back to high street agent for same deflated price bettermove marketed it at…. Lose/lose.Following leaving a review they tried to offer me love2shop vouchers as a “token”….. sorry I won’t be bribed!

A proactive, helpful and friendly company that marketed my apartment, found a buyer within 48 hours, and then were fastidious in keeping the conveyancing process ticking along as efficiently as possible through to completion. Theo and Julia were consistently on top of things, dynamic in following things up and chasing where necessary, and extremely helpful and efficient at all times. Two previous estate agents had failed to generate very much at all in the way of viewings or interest, so Bettermove definitely came up trumps and stand out for their dynamic approach.

Julia went the extra "10 miles"!Julia responded instantly to requests from my solicitor and myself and became integral to my purchase happening at all! From viewing the property on 8 March to completing my purchase on 26 May 2023. When issues were highlighted, Julia communicated to all parties involved on both sides to progress my purchase. Julia was totally instrumental in getting the sales solicitor to process the approval to my purchase solicitor for the exchange and completion date to go ahead! Avoid at All costs. We were told they had a portfolio of investors that would buy our property, in fact they are just an online estate agent who reduce your property to sell and take a cut. Your property is devalued instantly and you will never be able to get market value for it. They advertise on the same platforms as all the other estate agents. If they introduce anyone to view your property and you cancel your contract with them and go with another estate agency please be aware that if those buyers purchase your property even through the other agency Bettermove still want they cut. Just be aware of all the facts before you sign up with them.

Bettermove is like a scam to me! I make an offer for a property, the next day one of there staff called me and said I need to pay £1000. I was happy to pay but She did not explain any agreement or contract to me. I further ask her if my money will be refunded and she said ' definitely ' I went ahead to pay. However, the deal didn't work out fine and I can't continue with the purchase, so, I called Bettermove to return my £1000, then, they refused to return my money. I can not recommend Bettermove to friend.

The conditions of sale and purchase was not as straight forward as initially thought and took 6 days short of 5 months from agreement of sale to completion of sale, due to cross communication and errors but overall a good experience and worth a quote to help.
