I am sharing my unpleasant experience with bettermove , at first I was contacted by sales manager Adam I was given all this fancy talk and empty promises. He asked me to pay fee £999.99 plus VAT for 1 year period which is fully refundable in the case if I pulled out from market or property is not sold but once I made the payment, the customer service went down hill. I wanted nothing to do with them and wanted my money back. However, they made up excuses and stopped responding to my calls etc. I looked at their online reviews and I have realised I am not the only one who had a negative experience with them. Wish I had read the reviews beforehand.I strongly advise everyone to be careful and stay away from bettermove.

Any negative online reviews or customer experiences you refer to relate to our old business model where customers would pay for a listing with Bettermove. However earlier this year we have totally revamped the business model and we are now a free to list agency and are pleased to report that all feedback from customers has been excellent and properties are selling within days in some cases. Thats why you will notice a trend of positive 5 star reviews more recently. We would love to make amends to you and show you how the new model can benefit you by allowing us to sell your house again but for no cost whatsoever. We contacted Bettermove after struggling to engage with prospective buyers using traditional estate agents. From the first phone call to enquire about the service to completion and exchange of contacts and keys was clear, and straightforward with Jake, Will and Theo all communicating with us at each stage. Bettermove made us an offer based on market value, after we accepted their offer they proceeded to market the property. We had more viewings with Bettermove than previously with traditional agents (who had vastly overvalued the house). This resulted in the purchasers completing in an acceptable time scale. We had Christmas and the New Year in between. Bettermove does exactly what it says. Highly recommended!

My experience with Bettermove wasn’t as smooth in the beginning, I felt the customer service needed to be improved with a little enthusiasm and attentiveness, however when I spoke to Theo he was very much on the ball and his communication was sharp. Had my experience at the beginning had been different it would have been 5 stars.
