Great experience with Lianne from Foxton's Brixton branch recently. I gave her some fairly niche requirements for a rental and within 24 hours I had a place ready to go, offer accepted. Lianne is very approachable and takes everything you're looking for into consideration - which is such a personable touch because the rental market is booming right now! Thanks Lianne! :)

Difficult to express how poor our experience was with Foxtons in Brixton as tenants. House wasn't cleaned properly before tenancy and we had to remove a bunch of stuff that the previous tenants had left. We found used underwear on one of our beds upon moving in. The mice, mould and windows that the letting agents told us would be fixed were not, meaning that for a month in the middle of our tenancy, we could not occupy the flat as the landlord decided to do a full renovation without giving us notice. Foxtons did not help us at all with recouping rent for this period. Foxtons also apparently encouraged our landlord to trigger our break clause and to increase the rent by 40%+ during our tenancy, which he did. We were only told that our tenancy was coming to an end by a template email from Foxton's with a 'Confirmation Move Out' date. When he didn't find tenants willing to pay this price in time, Foxtons tried to push back this move out date, and to charge us rent (as well as other fees) after our contract had ended. After agreeing with our landlord to receive full reimbursement of the whole deposit, Foxtons tried to withhold some of this, and then significantly delayed repayment (a nightmare when trying to move into a new place). Foxtons were incredibly difficult to contact throughout the tenancy, and during the issues we faced afterwards - and most of the staff we dealt with were incredibly unhelpful, and tried to shift blame onto our landlord.

I have never left a negative review in my life but for this I have to.. AVOID RENTING WITH FOXTONS AT ALL COSTS. I have been renting a property in Brixton for the past year and reported mould issues 4 months ago (20th May 2024) and to this day (27/08/2024) nothing has been done to rectify it. We have been back and fourth with property management (even crying down the phone) and they are still not letting us move out until we finish the tenancy length. The flat is a basement flat and the bathroom doesn't have a window or an extractor fan which we informed foxtons was illegal to which they breezed over and OF COURSE haven't done anything about. We are now living in mould and seeking legal action to try and get out of our tenancy as Foxtons have told us on 3 occasions we have to find someone to replace it if we want to go. As you can see from the photos nobody should be living in these conditions. Every time we ring, our account manager is 'in a meeting' they take days/weeks to respond to a question. In regards to getting something fixed..we are yet to have one issue in our flat/tenancy fixed. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

I have new tenants who moved in already to my property, but Foxtons do not want me to keep the tenancy deposit. Jack Pinion from Brixton office promised, that he will release the deposit, once I have registered it with " My deposits", which I did. I emailed him the registration certificate and Foxtons are now saying, they are waiting for the tenants to confirm, that they are happy for me to keep the deposit. I have now complained to "My deposits". I will never do business with Foxtons again and I do not recommend them.

Josh Liddall has been fantastic. He has come across in a very professional manner from day one, always available to be contacted, even outside of the core working hours. After the initial few properties not meeting my requirements, he was quick to get back in touch with a relevant place. Although it was above my budget he recommended that I come and see it to make an offer, this worked out very well. I feel the way Josh dealt with me as a potential tenant was outstanding, he is a true asset to your company and reflects your core values strongly. I have recommended a number of my friends to approach your branch due to the professional friendly service that was provided. I look forward to acquiring my next short term agreement through similar channels a few years down the line.

Extremely poor handling of deposit refund, lack of accountability and communication.

I moved out of my flat on 25 September 2025, and my landlord immediately approved the full return of my deposit. I provided my bank details to Foxtons on 3 October, and the online portal confirmed that the refund would be processed within 5, 7 working days.
