TrustpilotBlatant liars - the most unprofessional service
We were repeatedly given information by the letting agent that turned out to be untrue or later changed. Basic steps that should have been handled professionally were completely overlooked, causing us significant stress and financial loss.

GoogleIn looking for a house for me and 2 others to move in to even our most basic search criteria was completely ignored by every agent we spoke to. All the properties recommended to us were a complete rip off compared to others we saw with other agencies At one point we were even recommended to view a 2 bed despite the fact we were 3 friends moving in. Absolute basic stuff completely ignored by shrude and insensitive business machines. So much time wasted by them. Use a local agent instead.

GoogleWouldn’t recommend rental with Brixton team. We advertise our property with sales team end of last year, we are not in the country so we did Airbnb and it was challenging getting through the door because of not many free days and the timing between guests bookings. We were advised by rental team to short let with them as this would be easier getting through the door because it will be only managed by Foxtons. They found a tenant and offered 2 year’s contracts but we did highlight from the beginning our priority is to sell. I did ask what’s going to happened with selling side if we agree with 2 years contact and they said the tenant need to live at our property minimum 6 months, and after we can come to agreement give them 3 months notice, etc. After signing the contract we were told we can’t sell for the next 2 years, otherwise we will be paying penalties. The agent lied to us saying we never discussed sales part and we only discussed taking the advertising for sales down. We also can’t redraw as we already sign contract! We feel we have been tricked into the deal, it’s been over a week and we still haven’t heard back in how we can resolve the situation and the tenants supposed to move in on the March 1st despite chasing and calling them! After signing the contract the communication gone quiet even though I did kindly ask to let me know the cost of fixing one of the shower, on which of our personal belongings should we remove (bear in mind we are not in UK so we needed some time to organise this). To get the rental deal with us they could ring 5 times a day, after signing almost “0” communication. We are very disappointed with miss leading information and how we have been treated! I’m sorry to leave such a long comment but I had no choice

We moved out of the apartment over three months ago and left it in perfect condition. The rental agreement stated that our deposit should have been returned within 10 days, yet we are still waiting. Despite repeated follow-ups, nothing has been resolved.

We had several questions and he was able to answer them all and also gave us great advice on things we not very knowledgeable about. GoogleMy partner recently marketed a property with the Brixton Foxtons branch and we were very disappointed indeed. Terrible communication- didn’t reply to emails or calls (it took the manager a whole week to reply to our email saying we’d like to terminate the contract) and it took them 2 weeks to correct an error in the property listing. Just as we were about the freshly relaunch the property with another agent, Foxtons re-listed it on online property portals without our permission and there’s no one available to speak to at the Brixton office or Head Office to get it taken down- truly appalling! Crazy that their commission is 1.5% more expensive than the competition.
Sorry to hear that you were not happy with your experience with us - we strive to provide a premium customer service and this certainly isn't the standard we aim to deliver. GooglePretty sure they bait you with false listings that "just went!" to show you other properties that, unfortunately, are worse value and not represented by the one that prompted you to call. I realised bc I accidentally contacted several agents about the same property months apart, both gave different reasons for why it "just went today/yday!" And one excuse why it was cheaper than all the overpriced lets they were showing me contradicted the listing itself. They're nice and polite enough, but I still get sleazy letting agent vibes. Misinforming you so you think nothing in the area you want exists for your budget (literally been to dozens of viewings to contradict this...) They give free bottled water while you wait in the office though.

GoogleI am really happy with Fortune Josiah from the Brixton office. He was extremely helpful in the purchase of our property in the Tulse Hill area. Not sure we would have been able to buy the property without his help, he made himself available even at short notice times when he had builders lined up to see the work we intended to do on the property. We were able to gauge the refurb cost and were happy to carry on with the purchase.

GoogleI wrongly considered renting my property with Foxtons Brixton. If you want a hard sell in your own home (and after they have left), then this is the place to go. Classic tactic of suggest a higher than achievable rent to get you on their books, then try to railroad through all of the next steps to get you listed. They then book in a photographer that turns up without me confirming or agreeing to this. Chris’ emails also come across as desperate. Sorry dude, you missed this one! Also their sales valuations are wildly off which cements the above point. I recently purchased my property, Foxtons then suggest a valuation more than 10% higher - are they aware of the current economic situation? I wonder! I would describe the foxtons approach as verging on harassment in an attempt to beat competitors to the mark. I get its business, but we are all human, right?

GoogleI must admit, I was a bit skeptical using Foxtons as I had a bad experience with them many years ago (renting, another agency). This time, 5 stars would not be enough! Markus (Foxtons sales) has been a great sales representative, he showed me different properties in one appointment, helping me getting a better understanding of what I could have bought within my budget. Super efficient! I would also like to mention Ahmed that has followed me step by step in the second phase of the negotiation. Both Markus and Ahmed have always promptly responded to any queries I had. Thanks to both of you guys, if I could, I would have given 10 stars, 5 each! Paolo
