GoogleI have bought and sold a property through Hilbery Chaplin. My sale was an extremely difficult case and wouldn't have been possible without the help of Chris and Corrine (and Susanne) at the Laindon office. They were very helpful with the solicitors on both sides. The response to emails and constant communication was very frequent from all staff. Additionally to helping with the sale they also recognised that the buyers and myself were real people and went above and beyond what was expected throughout the sale to ensure that no one was left in a difficult personal situation (i.e. no where to stay for a few days). Finally it was just a pleasure dealing with them everyday. Even thought the sale was stressful it was always an enjoyable conversation when I was called about an update which made the whole experience a lot more enjoyable and I will miss the contact. Thank you to all at the office.

Googlesame as all above reviews total disgrace to the legal profession - i'm a client with a ground rent dispute but living outside of the U.K missed payment due to sale of ground rent without prior notice between 2 parties. Phoned to resolve and after conversation with Dan Thornton who was ENTIRELY UNREASONABLE looks like i will be paying Β£450+ in additional charges for the sending of a single templated letter..UTTERLY DISGUSTING...AVOID THIS COMPANY!

What was potentially a difficult transaction was handled professional and timely. Good advice was received and we was kept informed regularly of any updates and progress. I have used Hilbery Chaplin on several occasions and they deliver a level of service not usually associated with Estate Agents. Well Done.

GoogleBE VERY CAREFUL WHEN USING THESE SOLICITORS!! they are are cunning, unresponsive to emails and will not accept any responsibility in communicating to you via the simplest form, in order to slap a penalty fine onto you. The person that I dealt with (Dan Thornton) was very rude and arrogant. I would strongly advise you to use another solicitors firm and not SLC Solicitors.
