We had a really positive experience with Hilbery Chaplin in Hornchurch when buying our home. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly friendly, approachable and easy to get along with. They always gave us the time we needed, were very cooperative throughout, and we never once felt pressured. A special mention has to go to Kelly Hallier, who was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Based on our experience, we wouldn’t hesitate to sell our home through Hilbery Chaplin in the future, buy through them again, or recommend them to others. As a first-time buyer, I was told countless times that buying a house would be one of the most stressful things I'd ever do. Thankfully, that wasn't my experience at all thanks to the fantastic team here. All of the ladies were incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout the entire process. I just wanted to say how impressed we were with the staff at the Shenfield branch. They were swift with responding to any queries we had, as first time buyers we did have a few questions and the ladies were more than happy to help. The exchange and completion process was alot more straight forward than we expected too, and picking up the keys from their office was a delight. Thank you for your guidance, we really appreciate it during a stressful but exciting time!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, our experience with Hilbery Chaplin Residential was extremely disappointing. We found a property we really wanted to rent and contacted the agency immediately. Unfortunately, communication from James was consistently slow, with long delays in responding to emails and enquiries. In a fast-moving rental market, timely communication is essential, and every day matters. Because of these delays, the property we were ready to proceed with was let to someone else. It was incredibly frustrating to lose a home simply because we couldn’t get the prompt responses needed to move the process forward. We appreciate that estate agents can be busy, but when clients are actively trying to secure a property, responsiveness should be a priority. Sadly, this was not our experience. Thankfully, we decided to work with another agency instead, where the team responded quickly, kept us updated throughout the process, and helped us secure a wonderful property without unnecessary delays. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Hilbery Chaplin Residential to anyone looking for an efficient and proactive letting agency.

Dear Marina, We’re naturally very disappointed to see you left us a 1* review and of course we have investigated the situation fully to see if we could have done things differently to achieve a better outcome for your partner. We will always investigate any negative situation to ensure positive outcomes wherever possible. Your partner viewed the property on Tuesday 7th July in the afternoon. As soon as he indicated he wished to put his offer forward we sent the offer forms out to him on Wednesday 8th July. Once completed, we immediately put the offer over to the landlord the same day. The landlord did not respond to us immediately, due to personal commitments, which I understand is frustrating as you say in a fast-paced lettings market, but we communicated as soon as we heard the outcome of the offer which was on Friday 10th July. In this circumstance it was unfortunately declined, which we communicated to your partner the same morning we heard from the owner, this was due to the fact that the landlord did not wish for a tenant to move in within a week as there were a number of things that needed resolving at the property prior to occupation. We understood from previous communications that this timeline simply wouldn’t work for your partner. We appreciate it is very frustrating not to secure the property that was wanted and are very sorry your partner was unsuccessful and disappointed on this occasion. We sincerely hope an alternative property has now been found. James, Lettings Manager

Me and my partner were looking for our first home together. Charlotte Atherton was the person who called us in regards to viewing properties. When I told her we had a viewing the following week for a house we fell in love with. She put so much effort in to make the viewing sooner. We emailed with an offer for the property the same day. If it wasn't for her efforts, we may have missed the chance on our first home which we fell in love with! Charlotte is a credit to the company.
