The software used by both parties were also very good. We knew about viewings, times, dates, clients & 2nd viewings. But the staff also kept us informed. We felt they listened to us. Ocean is by far THE most professional estate agent I have ever seen, in the country. Over the years I have come to learn how estate agents operate, specially the nationwide ones. let me explain why Ocean is so different from every other estate agents.So the most common tactics other estate agents use that is deemed unethical in my opinion are:- When they evaluate a property for sale, they know sellers usually go with the estate agent that gives the highest evaluation. So often they over evaluate your property then when you sign a min 3 months contract with them, they then claim the market is not good and encourage you to reduce the sale price. - The next thing to be aware of, which other estate agents often do is that their priority is the list of "property investors" they have on their files, and not you the seller! So if an investor is interested in your property, they will absolutely find a way to "encourage" you to reduce your price even further. - finally, what sets Ocean apart from all other estate agents is that most estate agents, specially the nationwide ones, have no interest or drive to sell your property. They just show someone around the property and answer the odd question that is asked of them. I have lost track of the number of times I have asked an estate agent whether the potential buyer was even asked to make an offer. Ocean is completely different to any other estate agent I have ever used... They are THE most ethical, honest and professional estate agent I have ever used. Even my solicitor commented on how efficient and professional Ocean has been! Ocean is a family run business so the directors actually care about the company and take pride in their customer service. My property was sold within 3 hours of going live! AND I got exactly what I asked for and what Ocean valued my property at (which was £20,000 more than any other estate agent). Even a nationwide estate agent commented saying they can not compete with Ocean when it comes to Bristol!!If you are in the Bristol area, Ocean is THE only estate agent I recommend you use. That what I will be doing in the future.

Ocean were appointed to sell my property in early May and I was pleasantly surprised to receive two asking price offers within the first week of the property going live.However, the agreed buyers’ solicitor was incredibly slow and unresponsive from the get-go.Spurious delays were encountered and the process was extremely onerous.Several months passed, with progress deteriorating to such an extent that I had contemplated withdrawing the sale.Mellissa (Bell) was designated my “Move Manager” to oversee the sale to contract completion and without Mellissa’s ongoing intervention and skilled coordination, the sale would have definitely been withdrawn.Her pleasant disposition and endeavour to complete was admirable.She demonstrated immense effort and professionalism in obtaining a successful outcome and relieving so much stress from my shoulders.A job well done by the Ocean Team.

I began the process of selling my flat with getting three different quotes. Of those, Ocean came out on top for both quote and professionalism. I initially met Matt, who talked me through the process and put me at ease about how it would move forward. Within days Matt found me buyer. From then on, I had the experience of liaising with different Ocean staff, from Ollie to Mike and Nicola on front of house, all of which are superb. I would especially like to say, how I found most useful, being able to call and speak with Nicola, who keeps the whole process glued together. At a time when situations can become challenging and stressful, Nicola is there on the end of the phone and always reassuring. Other estate agents do not offer this level of service and is most helpful. To sum up, I found the Ocean experience a breeze and all staff extremely professional. As a result my flat was sold within five months. Thank you Ocean very much indeed.

Sadie and Chris were great!!! Chris showed me the house and supported multiple viewings for surveys etc and was very knowledgeable of the area and properties in general. Viewed every property in the area with him before finding "the one" and there was no hard sell which was appreciated. Sadie was quick at communicating and swift with resolving issues on the sellers side and friendly throughout. What let the process down was the mortgage broker service they provide. Luigi was helpful at first but once he found out my case was slightly more complicated with proving funds he got frustrated and rude, then hung up on me, which was incredibly unprofessional. Ended up going for a private broker which was well worth the money and supported me every step of the way. On the whole a great experience apart for the mortgage broker service which i would avoid. Thanks Ocean Shirehampton team!!!

Finally got through 2.5 hours to be rudely told the property is fully booked (shock). We all know the lettings market in Bristol is crazy, but is there a need to be so rude?

Andy was friendly, helpful and didn't rush me to put the house on the market after the photos were taken. There was very little feedback from Ocean from those dozen people who visitedt our property so no idea whether first time visit, or a repeat. House sold quickly, at advertised price, but buyers after surveyors report wanted to knock £25,000 off the price. I felt the agreed price by Ocean was fair, but felt a lack of support and enthusiasm to push the buyers into paying the amount I'd agreed on. After months of waiting for buyers various reports, they still wanted £25,000 off for no good reason. When Julie was there, I felt she was fully on my side, and after weeks of stress it was finally agreed at £10,000 less than original asking price, which included an estimate for a chimney problem I had offered to pay for at the beginning. Laura had a tough job with the conveyancing both with the buyers and our sellers, and did an excellent job in the light of so many difficulties.

Our property sold very quickly, so I can't comment too much on that side (except that Sam and the team were very friendly and helpful in all communications!). But the real star for us was our move manager Sadie. We had a long chain (5 houses), where we were in the middle, and Sadie was great at chasing all the solicitors and keeping us informed of the progress. Unfortunately we had a last minute change of dates, and Sadie was key to getting the new date agreed quickly, and as completion approached she was keeping an eye on things for us even on a day off, so truly went above and beyond! We would definitely recommend Sadie and the whole Ocean team.
