GoogleThis company is rubbish in terms of everything. If I could give no stars I would, there was basically no communication for 7 months then we learnt that the house we were supposed to move into in a month was being sold. They then took over 3 weeks to send us our holding deposit back, which as broke students put a lot of stress on us trying to find a different house. Our agent Ali was amazing however he left the company, which is to be expected based on these reviews and our experience. Whether you are a student or just someone trying to move houses DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Had a great experience with Ocean Clifton, Nicolle was brilliant throughout. She showed me the flat and, knowing I’d had issues with a previous property sale, she double-checked the lease for me and the areas of concern. Really appreciated how understanding she was. Made the whole thing feel much less stressful. Thanks Nicolle!

Don’t expect your deposit back. Still waiting to hear back on our deposit being returned over 5 weeks after leaving the property. Agent is totally not interested and just says “we are awaiting the landlord”. Tenant Deposit Scheme states deposit should be returned within 10 days of vacating

Melissa was fabulous. There were some very slow inquiries sat with Oceans clients solicitor. Melissa continuously did everything in her power to chase up often calling as soon as she’d put the phone down to me and ringing me straight back with updates.There were a few hitches towards their end with agreeing completion date and indemnity policies etc but Melissa helped us through it all. Thank you for all your efforts and time - very much appreciated!

Jemima & James @ Ocean have been absolutely fantastic in the whole process of both offering and moving me into my new rental property. From the very beginning I met James who showed me around the property which I literally fell in love with immediately and expressed my interest in securing it. James was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the process and came back to me so quickly with the offer. I wanted to move in quickly and both James & Jemima did their best to meet my date requirements which was fantastic. They both went above and beyond with my additional requests. The process was pretty smooth considering I am new to the rental market. Upon handover I met Jemima for the first time. What a lovely young lady! She was so friendly, understanding and knowledgeable and explained everything on the move date. There were lots of follow up calls to check in on me and any issues have been picked up immediately for resolution. I cannot thank these guys enough for such a lovely experience. I love where I live and am really happy. I would love to deal with them again, if only everyone was this helpful. Thanks guys you are both amazing!

Ocean have earned their money from us - we have been selling my Mum's house for over a year and it completed last Friday on the 3rd sale. A bumpy ride at times, but house selling is a stressful process. Some personalities at Ocean easier to deal with than others, but the contacts we eventually worked with were really friendly and helpful and gave the impression they genuinely cared. A special mention to Nicola the 'Move Manager'. I was sceptical to start with, but what an asset she was. She kept everything moving along with the sale, quickly chasing up any tardiness. It was encouraging to have someone to regularly check in with, especially when not much seemed to be happening. But we got their in the end - thank you.

From the initial valuation to completion, Ocean Downend were excellent. They were open to a conversation about the asking price and then a suggestion we had to use in the marketing material. Producing the particulars was fast and accurate so the house went on the market quickly. Being able to see viewing appts, offers etc via the Ocean app was great so I could see what was happening in real time. Throughout they did what they said they would and I didn't need to chase them up about things. The whole process was straightforward, reassuring, efficient, with excellent communication - I was kept up to date at all times. Once I'd accepted an offer, I particularly appreciated having a move manager (Liz & Lisa) who liaised with me throughout the actual process of sale to completion and beyond. I would definitely recommend them to anyone else seeking to sell a property.

After looking at several companies to help me with my mortgage, I settled on Ocean Estate Agents as they were recommended to me and I could not be happier with my experience. Luigi was my mortgage advisor and he did an amazing job! He was incredibly diligent throughout the whole process, always available to discuss any questions I had and made the entire process as seamless as possible. As a first-time buyer, this experience was quite daunting so I was very grateful to have one less thing to worry about and I really felt that Luigi made the entire process as easy and straightforward as possible, I could not recommend Ocean more!!

Ocean was the second estate agent I used and were very professional and upfront on charges. There were plenty of viewings which were all booked with plenty of notice. Had an offer within 6 weeks. Kept informed at all stages of the process.I also used Ocean Lawyers which made the process smoother. Don't expect your rent deposit back from these crooks, my daughter and her fellow tenants lost around £1500, charged £180 to cut a postage stamp sized lawn... Which was mown before they left... £10 to replace a light bulb??? Shocking, the house was tidier when we left it, to be fair ocean owe me money for the maintenance I did on it because there own team didn't fix anything

Thank you for your feedback. As a local independent business and employer of 40 years, we have always taken client care extremely seriously. We take great pride in the thousands of positive reviews from both landlords and tenants. Therefore we feel it important to respond to your comments and assertions.Ocean Lettings manage thousands of properties on behalf of landlords and 'rent only' many more. Whilst we are not aware of what specific property you refer to at this time, we can confirm that all of our tenancies are between the landlord and tenants. Ocean are not the party making the claim on deposits.We will have been instructed by the landlord to relay their claim on to the tenant's deposit following a ‘check-out’ report with accompanying photographs. As your daughter will have been made aware, if she and her friends refuted the claim in any way they were within their right to start arbitration via the TDS (tenancy deposit scheme) where all monies are protected. As the letting agent we cannot pass any funds to one party without the other party’s consent. You have mentioned that your daughter has lost money, therefore she has agreed to the Landlord’s claim, or the TDS has made an arbitration ruling and awarded the monies to the landlord based on the evidence they received.

A great experience from start to finish. Communication from everyone at Ocean was professional, timely and informative. Curtis took us smoothly through the initial marketing process before passing over to Move Manager Lauren who kept us updated throughout the sale. Using Ocean’s in-house conveyancing team made things really easy as everything was under one roof, and again Lily and the team were a pleasure to deal with - nothing like the usual narrative around solicitors. Staff helped us to navigate a few challenges elsewhere in the chain as we got nearer to exchange and completion, again keeping us updated and offering reassurance. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ocean Estate Agents and Ocean Property Lawyers, and in fact have already done so which has resulted in friends listing their properties with Ocean! Our vendors’ estate agent also commented on how good Ocean were to deal with.

Louise Studley is the answer to what makes our experience of Ocean Lettings excellent: diligent in the everyday nitty-gritty of household issues. So if there was an issue of something needing fixing, she is there immediately organising the fixing of it. Louise is also happy to negotiate new contracts, acting fairly but impartially between landlord and renter. We can't thank her and Ocean Lettings enough. This is for the whole period from September 2023 to July 2024

We needed to find a new solicitor who would handle the challenging sale of our late parents leasehold independent living property in Portishead. It was a very stressful time for us but we found the staff at Ocean extremely helpful and empathetic. Their online portal was a little frustrating to begin with but once set up it was a great way to view the progress of the sale, communicate with the team and keep files all together. Our conveyancing team worked really hard to get our sale completed within the tight timescale and kept us informed throughout the process. Thank you to Karen and everyone involved. Highly recommended.
