Excellent Service

Richard Kendall Estate Agents arranged the recent letting of our rental property. They handled everything from marketing, to viewings, repairs, credit checks, literally everything! Amy Esberger in particular was fantastic, she kept us informed of the rental process from start to finish, answering all questions (and there were many), in a professional yet friendly manner. Her advice was invaluable and nothing was too much trouble.If you have a property that you'd like to rent out, I would 100% recommend using Richard Kendall.

Richard Kendall letting, Let me down…

Richard Kendall were my letting agents who were responsible for getting me in the flat. They did that but failed to pickup the landlord on some issues with the flat. The entry report was glorious but hid the broken toilet door lock, building door buzzer broken for five years previously. The old fridge that hummed and banged loudly at night.Foul smell from sink. Dirty windows which never cleaned even after a year. In the exit report it seemed they wanted to help the landlord with his spruce up costs for the next tenant with my deposit and said the flat was unclean and skirting boards were dirty and is broken the toilet lock. Even though i done a deep clean for two days straight it wasn’t ever gonna be clean enough. They had arranged people trampling through the flat for two days viewing it before they did the exit report. Very disappointed that Richard Kendall didn’t give me benefit of doubt but we’re so biased towards the landlord who wasn’t even maintaining the flat properly. He has not got the excuse to take most of my deposit on suspect claims and can use my deposit to find his cost of preparing the flat for the new tenant. Very disappointing and unfair.

What amazing service we got from Amanda and Joanne at the Wakefield branch. We were selling our house and purchasing a smaller place and they kept us up to date at all time and both properties. Not that we ever intend to move again but if we did we would use Richard Kendall, we will also be recommending them to family and friends.

I rented through Kendals for almost 12 years , always paid my rent early, the house wasn’t the best when I took it on , I kept the inventory to prove , after a few inspections I got letters saying the house wasn’t up to scratch stating the things that were wrong when I signed for it.I had a fence erected by a reputable company, Kendals sent an email telling me to take it down immediately so I refused, after a couple of weeks they served me with a section21 , no fault eviction, I soon found somewhere else nearby, after a month the fence is still there , I felt like I was treated really badly

Do not rent through Richard Kendall. Me, my partner and our new born rented a flat through Richard Kendall, our fridge broke within the first couple of months and it took them over 3 weeks to sort this issue out leaving us with no where to store our food. It had to take us to contact the landlord directly, who was really good and helpful and sorted the issue within a couple of days. Furthermore, we had a mould issue in a bedroom, this can be harmful for newborn babies and we reported this when they came to do there inspection, nothing was ever done to resolve the issue and we had to buy dehumidifiers at our own expense. Not only that they had the audacity to then charge it from our deposit and we are currently going through a dispute with them regarding this. Please avoid using this agent to rent, there staff are not interested in you as tenants and I feel for the landlords who pay them a fee to look after their properties for them.
