Deposit deduction at any cost

I am sure this is a common problem in this business because of demand & supply, but my experience with coopers was pathetic. I was dealing with Ruislip branch and when I vacated the property, I hired professional cleaners with paying hefty amount for a bed house, but still the end of tenancy checking gave a bunch of deductions without looking at the inventory report from the tenancy start date, with our spotting the errors they corrected a few but then stick to minor cleaning deficiencies and forced us to either take this deduction or if I want to go to TDS dispute they are happy to file it which will take 3 months for resolution. Head of property management with whom we were dealing did not commented on anything we raised while we checked in the property it was not at all cleaned, we have shared all the pictures, emails from check in time, but he was silent on those and just want to deduct deposit. Given the threat of timeframe involved we accepted it but I would recommend anyone to either refrain from this estate agent or atleast get the property cleaned again on check in time, which I am sure they will not even respond. Very frustrating process when they are just interested in deducting the deposit but not doing anything in the property which was the case when we checked in and not sure even landlord would be aware of this deductions and they might just retain that as well as no cleaning was done in our case which was in very bad conditions when we checked in.

Really disappointed with my experience with cool cribs. Only thing they did efficiently was ask for money. Had to chase them constantly and the process took over 2 weeks. Albert was rude and dishonest very quick to threaten over deposit that had been paid. Overall consistent with the other 1 star reviews.

Appalling Service

Appalling service l would suggest you avoid. Asked to view a house advertised on their website as ‘To Let’ several times with no response. Eventually l went into the branch to ask why no o e was responding to be assured that someone would. Then l checked out the area and the street the property was situated in and saw it had a For Sale sign outside. Checked Coopers website again and found it was listed as both. Finally the letting guy contacted me to view the property. I asked him if the property was for sale, he said no. Then l asked him why it was listed on their website as such as we are looking for a long term let. He said that the vendor was looking to sell in a year, but that was still looking to let it. Turned up to see it. The current tenant thought the appointment was later that explained that l couldn’t see the bathroom as it was occupied. I filled out the forms and submitted them that same day. These forms contain private and sensitive information. No response or acknowledgment. Later the following week l emailed the lettering guy who had arranged my view to ask for an update. No response or acknowledgment.

Disappointing service having to wait 13 days so far with no deposit back and any response you finally get is they are still waiting for a list of costs from landlord when there has been plenty of time to do so even though the inventory report was wrong in many areas. Every time I try and call I get put straight through to voicemail or when I email I get no response or just the usual with no update. Shocking.

Avoid this Estate Agent like the plague

Terrible service, was shown the property by a girl called Kristal. We filled out their application form and made an offer for the asking price. kristal didn’t even have any manners to thank us for our offer and keep us updated. Don’t make people fill out your lousy application forms when you don’t even respond! She then calls me and tries to push a property that was ‘reduced’ in price because clearly no one wanted it and tried to push us to come see it last minute (the property was as horrible as her customer service). Terrible service. Avoid this estate agent like the plague. I definitely wouldn’t recommend to friends or family.
