Met up with Elena after she relied quickly on SpareRoom, did the viewing and then paid the holding deposit. Everthing was done over email, sent over my docs and references! Bish bash bosh.. I got scammed for £2.5 k so I had extreme anxiety! But they assured me everthing would be fine as it was. My place is the best and I’m extremely lucky I found this agency. 1000% recommend!!!!

Avoid this agency

Avoid this agency. They are extremely unprofessional and show a serious lack of communication and care. We are still waiting for our deposit more than a month later. During this time, they failed to contact us and repeatedly told us to deal directly with the landlord, whom we had to chase extensively as he was ignoring us. The agency then advised us to raise a dispute with TDS, but when the landlord finally sent a confirmation email approving the deposit release, they claimed it was still not sufficient. Every time we call, we speak to a different agent and receive completely different information. The lack of internal communication within the office is shocking. Renting the property was just as frustrating. The agent failed to complete essential documents, and I even took a day off work expecting to receive the keys, only to discover he had forgotten to prepare the contract, request our documents, and complete the process. I had to resend the same documents multiple times because they clearly do not check their emails. Overall, a very stressful and poorly managed experience. I would strongly advise avoiding this agency.

We had trusted Coopers for many years and never had reason to question their integrity. That trust was shattered when our tenant requested a shorter renewal term. We were persuaded to sign a 12-month lease on the clear assurance that if the tenant left early, we would receive a refund for the unused period. Relying on those promises, we agreed.

Our experience with this company was God awful. If Google allowed a less than 1 Star rating this is what they'd get. We identified a property that looked promising to rent. To 'secure the property' Cool Cribs demanded a £300 deposit. We were initially told the landlord wanted 6 months of rent in advance, which we managed to get reduced with the use of a guarantor. Our main gripe is the landlord's identity was kept from us. As in, the landlord field was left blank even in documents that we were expected to sign. It was only at the last moment that we saw who the landlord is and after some basic research realised, we had no choice but to withdraw our offer. The landlord features in a very negative BBC documentary and damning Guardian articles, one headline is 'Landlord must hand back £70,000 in rent for letting substandard flat'. When we politely asked Albert from 'Cool Cribs' to return our deposit, he flat out refused and claimed 'our actions are in line with the statutory provisions and industry best practice'. We recommend you find out who the landlord is before giving these guys any money, because they sure as hell won't refund you anything. Google the landlord and if you're happy with the results, then proceed. If you're not happy, you've saved yourself a chunk of money and a lot of stress. They are not interested in customer satisfaction, just making a 'quick buck'.

Very unprofessional! I dealt with this agent by the name Honor-Charlotte Peters for quite sometime now, however even though I’ve put full asking price offers on multiple properties each and every time i got rejected by her! On the last occasion offer was put through as soon as got advertised without viewing it(full asking price+ 6 months upfront payment) and Honor stated that the landlord is happy with the offer, only moving in date needs to be agreed on sooner to which I accepted it. That same day Honor continue to show the property to other people and then she came back asking to increase in price even though full asking price was offered and wanted to pay holding deposit on the same day to which she retracted the statement by saying that offer hasn’t been accepted!
