Good service from viewing to completion

The process from viewing the sites, to follow up from the sales team, through to the negotiations and also up to completion - this was all so well handled by DWH. We completed today so will do another update post move in with how the post sales works out but so far all is so good.

No interest in the misery they cause

Continued issues with the poor state of public open spaces and drainage. Even when a complaint is ongoing, these people have no shame, happy to lie and provide misleading information, or just ignore completely if they can’t be bothered to make up an answer. Despite numerous calls to DW/B Customer Services at head office, the person we want to speak to has never answered the phone or returned our calls. He is afraid of speaking personally to us because he knows the company are in the wrong and he cannot explain without incriminating himself. And where too is David Thomas, head of all this shambles? No where to be seen and totally disinterested in the misery his company has caused us, and with no intention of taking up our invitation to come and view first hand the indescribably shabby “work” that has gone on and continues to be encouraged here. The only thing these people are good at is making a total joke of the term Customer Service. All the DW/B individuals responsible for this farce (the 4 know who they are) need to step back and take a long long look at the real meaning of their jobs and try to understand that bringing misery into customer’s lives shouldn’t be part of the job description.

Unfortunately our experience with DWH is not 5* as is most of these reviews.We are still waiting for snagging issues to be done since last September.People are sent to our house to take photographs and to discuss the problems but nothing ever happens.Are we just unlucky or is it that the site is now completed and any interest shown is on their new developments?

Redecorate canopy ceiling

Simon came to our house to repair and decorate the ceiling under our canopy roof.His work was excellent and paid great attention to detail. He ensured that all furniture etc was covered and left the area very clean and tidy.I would highly recommend him.

Still waiting for action and answers

We are losing count now of the number of reviews we have posted here, but until our complaint is given proper consideration and progress is made, we intend to keep posting. It’s Friday afternoon, and another day spent of trying to get answers and action. Our issues are with the public open spaces that surround us here in Abbots Green, Woolpit. Our complaint has been acknowledged, but the responses we have received have given us no information or have provided details that are totally false. We had a visit yesterday from a technical director who told us he “could not disclose” what actions would be taken to sort the drainage problem opposite our home. The issue is that the ground clay has been covered by more compacted material and DW have no idea what to do. We suspect there is no drainage in this area at all. We still have dead trees and ground that has not been cleared properly, turf that is dead. We have been promised that this time we will get explanations as to what has gone wrong, but of course, this never happens. They are a cynical company who just want to sell homes and move on. The company left the site much too early before the public open spaces and remedial issues were sorted, hoping that no one would notice. It seems that their strategy is to delay and delay in the hope that home owners will give up because it is all too much. We are again extending an invitation to the Managing Director of Barratt/ DW to visit us here in person to see what a mess has been left.

Issues, snags and low standard of professionalism

I have had too many issues and when you have change of team, customers suffer. Lots of things going wrong and not documented and passed on properly to get rectified. I have invested a huge amount so would have expected DWH to be a professional which in my case was at a very low standard
