GoogleWe viewed a few properties with Andy from Spencer James until we found the perfect one. He was brilliant with the whole moving in process and ensured everything went seamlessly. Andy was really helpful with helping us find the right flat in the exact area we wanted and even after we moved in he was kind enough to check up on us to make sure everything was fine.

GoogleBought my flat from them 6 years ago and family recommended them to rent out the flat. Great service, quick to respond and deal with any issues with properly or tenants. Saved me a few quid as well fixing minor issues without expensive tradesmen. Would recommend to all first time landlords who need guidance too, Andy is a pro. Charges are reasonable too, no hidden costs.

DO NOT USE THIS DISGUSTING AND ABUSIVE COMPANY.Very recently one of the letting agents from this company named Andy Pateli thought it was acceptable to enact verbal and abusive behaviour against my partner that has left him shaken and beyond distressed. From the onset the communication was poor and utterly embarrasing. The letting agent tried to belittle and embarass my partner for absolutely no reason whilst visiting with the landlord.This level of unprofessional conduct and lack of empathy demonstrated by this letting agent should never be allowed to happen to anyone else ever again in the future. The letting agent then proceeded to start a physical altercation with my partner in front of the landlord and another visitor. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, I strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering this letting agent for their housing needs.The director of the company should be ashamed of this employee and reconsider the people they choose to hire for future business needs. I will be issuing a formal complaint and legal proceedings if necessary due to this unprofessional and disgusting conduct.

GoogleThanks to Spencer James and Andy for getting me the right property within our budget in a short span of time. Andy Andy was very prompt with getting back to emails and phone calls. He has been a great help, assisted and guided me in submitting all the necessary documents. Most importantly, admin fees are much less compared to other estate agents. I definitely recommend them.

I have been using Spencer James for 6 years now and they have been a god send. I am out of the country, and they sort out everything! All the stuff you expect a letting company to do like gas certs, agreements, communication with tenant. They also go a step further by reverting with any documents I ask for like the yearly expenses accounts to make my tax returns easier.

GoogleWe have had a great experience with spencer james and particularly Andy. He has been great from day one all the way until the very end. They have accommodated our requirements. We have also got back our full deposit after 2 years of tenancy. Recommended.

GoogleAbsolutely horrible company to rent from. From moving in day we were treated like we were not welcome, having delays on trains to pick up the keys we were spoke to in a completely unacceptable way, almost being told that were to stay on the streets for our first night. Clearly once the money had cleared we were no longer a priority. On moving in no professional clean had been done. Report an issue with simple and expected items in the home and you’re totally ignored for months. We had leaks in several roofs, no usable refrigerator, vermin excrement in the dryer, rats in the garden, a broken wardrobe which we were then charged for. When we were finally given a refrigerator we were told late afternoon/evening for the delivery. This arrived at 7am and the old fridge was left outside the property for several days. Both myself and housemate had several unfortunate situations we had to deal with during our stay in the property including ill health and the death of my father. During this time we were hounded by agents despite having clear communication about these issues. Since leaving the property the company has gone on to give my personal email to a third party company who continues to send me marketing material on a weekly basis, this was never agreed to. All in all Spencer James has added considerable misery, financial hardship and stress to my life at an already difficult time. If you see a property with these cowboys I’d suggest you run the other direction.
