Avoid at all costs! Spencer James is the worst agency in London. They are stingy and rude. We stayed in a property managed by them for over three years, and it was a nightmare. Every single time we needed to contact them or renew the contract, there was always a problem. Mr. Andreas “Andy” Panteli was especially prepotent, rude, unprofessional, and driven by anger. I also need to mention Jovanna Pinto, who would say anything to get you to sign the contract, only to later deny everything. Overall, it was a very stressful and toxic experience. Please do not trust the “paid” reviews, this is the real truth about this agency and its practices.

I couldn’t rate the company highly enough, every person I interacted with in the last 15years or so. Andy Panteli sold me the property in 2009, then took on letting of the property which was huge stress reliever. They helped us find our new home, and the place and surrounding view is just amazing. By no means it is not perfect, as each property has something thats needs to be worked on, but they had what me and my fiancee were looking for. Somethings that were not present in our previous home(myself to blame as we were new to the country and hadnt checked everything). We supposedly assumed those would normally be present in every home in the country,clearly that was not the case, as it is a luxury back in our motherland, so we are immensely happy that it is present in our home. Just awesome. We commend Jovanna Pinto and her team, for finding us, as we could literally”walk” to them if we had any concerns. Jovanna was lovely, however I’m not happy how me and my partner were dealt with all. Flat was £1450 and after viewing we gave an offer and raised it after Jovanna called us that some offered more than we did as we really wanted that flat and it was exactly what we wanted, however after agent being quiet for few days, I just went to check property again on Zoopla where the same one was raised without our knowledge for £200 what I find rude and unprofessional ,as agent haven’t informed us before doing so or apologetically said that landlord decided to raise the price. I feel fulled by that and what is important I have lost time and one suitable property which was second in a row for our liking. Btw. value of that property for what we were competing doesn’t meet new price what is advertised, no amenities close by, airport with noise and pollution is on the doorstep and 12 min walk to closest DLR station is quite long. Quite disappointing, however as perfect tenants what we are , maybe better we haven’t get it, as value is low.

Been dealing with the team for over 5 years now and the service has always been top. Andy is always reachable even outside office hours so that’s always a good aspect for me due to my unsocial working hours. Both Andy and Jovanna have achieved top prices for my flats and always put good tenants in. Not like most agents who just put anyone who can pass reference checks but are a nightmare to deal with. Highly recommend giving them a call even if it’s to ask advise as Andy will always give you his honest opinion even if it means them not getting a fee. Good photos floor and descriptions plus videos so tenants can see everything before visiting the flat. Good marketing for both sales and letting.
