Bridgfords Lettings have done a great job for me organising the refurbishment of my rental property in Sowerby, and quickly securing a new tenancy. Bridgfords Gosforth

Bridgfords Gosforth - categorically the worst letting agents I have ever dealt with. They were very efficient at getting credit checks completed and the rent and deposit organised. After that though the service was appalllng. We picked up they keys a few days before we moved in and noticed a wash basin in the ensuite was smashed, and the premises was generally dirty (not mentioned on the inventory). Rang and advised - and said they could access the property to repair if necessary. It was not repaired when I moved in and I was advised this was because I needed to report through their portal. In the first week I had to report repairs - washing machine not plumbed in, broken toilet seats, kitchen cupboards so dilapidated the drawers fell out when opened, gas fire not working, thermostats missing/broken on radiators, ventilation fans not working plus the smashed basin. It took them 7 weeks to get some of the repairs done, the remainder were outstanding when I left 6 months later. I chased and chased but just got told they aren't priority repairs (repairs on white goods are supposed to be prioritised). Once I handed my notice in they were super efficient at arranging viewings to get some other poor fool to pay £850 to live in a cold badly maintained property.Although I have seen a copy of the check out report which mentioned lots of issues, all of which predated my tenancy, I have never had confirmation that the Land Lord is happy ( They brow beat me into taking a zero deposit arrangement which was very expensive so I don't have a deposit to come back) All in all swift to take your money slow to respond to issues and communications demonstrate how little they care about their tenants. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid this business like the plague.

I am so glad I came to Bridgfords. Lee Johnson, the Mortgage and Protection Advisor helped unravel a bit of a mess made by a previous Mortgage broker who attempted to submit a fraudulent application to gain a great deal. Despite Bridgfords and Lee being very busy, the service was second to none. Constantly keeping me updated. Making things move as swiftly as possible between solicitors. Being truthful at all times and ALWAYS honouring promises made, for example, calling me back even if there was no updates. Lee provides a very personalised service and his knowledge and experience is so instinctive and professional. Lee did find it challenging to find me a competitive mortgage deal due to my unusual circumstances, but he did it, when I had been turned down numerous times before elsewhere. Buildings insurance offered was offered at very competitive rates, life insurance was discussed very thoroughly. Lee made sure I understood every word of every process. Lee is persistent and very committed, hard working and passionate about his job and his standards are very high. A lovely, approachable person. I cannot recommend his services enough. When the solicitors started to cause a bit of a delay, Lee and his team cracked the whip and ensured my "case stayed" moved on swiftly. I will recommend Bridgfords and their jewel in their crown (Lee) to all of my friends.

We used Bridgfords in order to buy our first home. We were introduced to the mortgage and protection consultant, Lee Johnson who from start to finish was fantastic. I genuinely believe we could not have gotten through the process without Lees unwavering support from start to finish. Having never purchased a house before, there was never a question that was stupid or a silly question and Lee was constantly on the other end of the phone. He followed things up as promised, kept us updated through the time we were purchasing and even when our first sale fell through near completion, he had a positive and helpful attitude in supporting us through finding another suitable home along with getting us the best mortgage rate available. I am a returning customer to Lee Johnson, after 5 years. I had the option of having my free mortgage advisor, but yet still returned to Lee because of his exceptional service. He understands me as a customer and what is important to me. My 1st mortgage was a tricky Trust Mortgage and he found the only 2 companies in the UK and secured me a great mortgage. This years, things were simpler, but it didn't stop him relentlessly looking for the best deal for me. I know he has my best interests in mind. He replies to messages as soon as he can, even if it is in his own time. He is always honest and transparent and I never feel pressured into products. I don't say this often, but I trust him and I would rather pay for his service than get products that are not right for me from a free service. He knows I will be returning again in 5 years. He goes above and beyond and so has my custom. I would recommend him to friends, family and colleagues and have done.

Just wanted to mention the first Class service received by Ellie in the Tynemouth office. She is more than helpful every time I speak to her. I am a Landlady and despite the extremely expensive charges Bridgefords have for every aspect of Letting, it is Ellie who is polite, extremely efficient, always pleasant and a delight to deal with. Service like this needs to be recognised ...Ellie should run the office as nothing is ever too much trouble. I was visiting recently from London and Ellie was off, sadly. Other staff were on the phone and didn't even acknowledge I was there! so rude considering the money I pay them. I am in the Property business myself, so know how people expect to be treated.
