Terrible communication throughout the whole process. Agents will lie and make false promises and guarantees on the behalf of landlords to make sales, then become impossible to get hold of. Emails ignored, never get a callback. We are now having to compromise and work with the landlord to sort things. Hidden costs and deposits are slipped into contracts, then we get contacted on the day of moving in being told we need to pay £4000 or we can’t have the keys to move in. The most stressful experience. Would never go near them again.

awful. they were ready to let us move into a flat that had mould everywhere. if we hadn’t had contacted the previous tenants, we never would have known the extent of the problem. luckily we got out of that. however, we then moved into another cavender property and the mould issue was horrendous. they blamed us for the issue, despite many others in the building having the exact same problem, the building smelling awfully and having fundamental issues. i implore you to avoid these estate agents at all costs, they made a year of my life absolutely terrible. my flat mate and i suspect we had mould poisoning

I recently had the pleasure of working with Aaron Dennett and he guided me through some tricky situations. Aaron picked up on my stress and communicated through the situation with the different parties. What was nice is that he was genuinely acting for the best of both parties involved and without conflict the situation was handled. I think the business of letting agents is between two parties and when people move houses, they are stressed. Aaron and Charlie and Matt have such a polite way of being direct and yet considerate. We had a really good experience with Cavender Guildford. After we registered our details, Brooke contacted us with properties which matched our budget and requirements, and they seemed as enthusiastic about finding us a place as we were! Brooke also showed us around a place via video call when we weren't able to make it in person, and was fantastic at answering our questions and understanding our needs. Luis Estrada showed us around the flat on our first viewing. He was knowledgeable, polite and patient as we took our time to look around carefully. When we decided to offer on the flat he guided us helpfully though the application process. These discussions were all by telephone and if he was not immediately available he was always very responsive in getting back to me. He went out of his way to help, even going to the extent of taking a photo of the rear entrance to the car park to help me find it. I was very grateful to him. He is a credit to Cavenders

I have had a really great experience with Cavender Estate Agents. After some real trouble with three other properties with another company, these guys really came to the rescue. We required a really quick move in and they made this happen seamlessly. All the staff are very nice and helpful over the phone, but Charlie in particular has helped me smooth out this process and been so easy to communicate with the whole time, even answering emails later in the evening than expected. Thank you for being polite, kind, accommodating and very helpful.

Following a string of awful experiences with various other estate agents, we have listed our property for sale with Cavender twice now and both times have been like a breathe of fresh air. Aaron in particular has been incredible at dealing with our (very complex) situation and has been on hand to chat things through whenever we've needed him.
