Oh god, avoid avoid!

where to begin, first they lied about things that would be done before moving in, they wernt. they never delt with any repairs at all, two months later still nothing was done so i decided to end the tenancy after having never spent a single night there. one month later and have had not heard a word regarding the return of the deposit. I would strongly advice to avoid them at all costs, every step with has been a nightmare and cost me circa 4 grand with nothing but wasted time to show for it.

Avoid this company if you are selling a…

Avoid this company if you are selling a property. I am a cash buyer found a property I was interested in. It was not under offer and was going to a closing date in two days time. The estate agent claimed they were too busy to show anyone else around the property, despite me giving anytime availability. At the same time everyone in the office was laughing and joking obviously not that busy then. The seller could potentially be losing out thousands because of their actions.

Extremely poor communication with regards to purchasing. My opinion is to go elsewhere and use a more professional estate agency. It took FOUR emails regarding an interest in a property to receive a call back and this was ONLY after threatening them with a formal complaint. I considered going direct to the seller with my concerns as I would be very unhappy if I thought this is the way any potential buyer was treated. Stay clear. As some other review had mentioned earlier...staff and Managements attitudes are undesirable.

I was slightly dreading the Estate Agent experience but in the end it was the most stress-free aspect of moving thanks to the whole team at the Slater Hogg, Candleriggs branch in Glasgow. Elaine, Fergus, Hannah and Graeme (mortgages) were all 1st class and I'm certain we achieved a better price for our property because of their skills. There are cheaper options but in a city such as Glasgow, the final selling price will be a reflection of the way in which a property is marketed. SH is well worth the investment. Many thanks!

Greedy liars avoid Glasgow branches

Avoid these unprofessional self centred liars. I had a written offer accepted on a property and Slater and Hogg after the fact they continued with viewings and accepted a larger offer without letting us know, so I lost the house I understood was mine. My solicitors said they had never had that happen in there 50+ years of buying and selling property. They wouldn’t reply to phone calls or emails for days so we knew something a was off. Having to break the news to my fiancé was terrible and I don’t wish that in anyone. This lot don’t care and I look forward to karma coming back around for them. I will never go near this excuse for a company ever again and will advise all to avoid at all costs. They don’t care about you, they are greedy cowards.

Really poor service when you are moving out. It takes almost a month just to get a reference check. I called, mailed, visited here and Countrywide more than 10 times. They don't reply emails, say nothing is wrong, say that they are only marketing branch so can't do anything with the problems. So different from when you are moving in. So stressed out with their disregarding attitude and poor feed back. Also reported several problems with the flat in September, but got a reply on December. So fast feedback haha

Slater, Hogg and Howison acted as our Estate Agents for the sale of our flat in Glasgow . We are extremely satisfied with the service we received , from the start of the process with an idea of value , through marketing the property , visits , finding a buyer and finalisation of the sale . We sold the property within 9 days of it going on the market and the whole sale process was handled very efficiently . The staff were extremely prompt at replying to e mails and very friendly and approachable . We had also used the agency to purchase the property 4 years earlier and received the same level of service . All in all , a service that was second to none and above expectations . A huge thank you to the team at Slater Hogg in Candleriggs. Because of them the potentially painful process of buying an apartment in Glasgow became an exciting adventure with a happy ending! Throughout my search I was kept up to date on properties that suited my needs, sometimes getting a heads-up before they even came onto the market, reassured when things were quiet and guided through the maize of Home Reports, Survey valuations, Factor’s Fees and numerous other pieces of information that threatened to swamp me. The viewings were made as stress free as possible, and for the most part my queries were dealt with fully and quickly by the staff back at the office. Utterly disgraceful agency, advisors are very rude and ignorant and from speaking to management it's no wonder their attitudes are the way they are. All this agency cares about is profit, they clearly don't have a good reputation and now I know why. Completely stressful from start to finish, took 5 months to replace a fob/microwave and had to live in a mould ridden flat with severe asthma which the agency still hadn't repaired by the end of my tenancy. I would recommend any other agency as it couldn't be any worse than this company. Advisors more concerned about the way they look than the service they are providing. Please save ur time, effort and money and stay clear of these cowboys!
