The stress of selling a property for the first time was mitigated by their approach to the process and they went above and beyond multiple times to bring it to a happy conclusion. I am a tenant of one of their flats and everything is good, except the maintenance department is the worst. once it took me two months to get my toilet seat replaced. and once I had my washing machine broken for a month without any serious respond from them. just imagine how horrible is it to live without cleaning the stacked clothes.

Unprofessional and Incapable.

Slater Hogg proved to be unequipped to sell houses and showed their lack of experience and professionalism from the very start when their proposed 'photographs' turned out to look like random holiday snaps with absolutely no eye for attracting buyers. Their property 'narrative' was also apparently written by a semi-literate intern. Subsequent experience going forward with the 'offers' scenario actually got worse when they seemed to want to pressurise the seller to accept a below-market value offer. Since moving to the much more professional and capable Corum agents, the property sold within weeks for £45k more than the offer Slater Hogg tried to strong-arm the seller into accepting. This was a 20% increase. Avoid Slater Hogg. Rude, unprofessional and incapable as are their owning company Countrywide.

As a buyer I dealt directly with S&H for all queries and correspondence. The process of purchasing the property took 8 weeks (there were some legal twists and turns along the way) but S&H were incredibly helpful all the way. I would use them in the future if I needed to sell or manage a property.

Cancelled twice and third time lucky…

Cancelled twice and third time lucky they came out to do the free valuation. Just had a valuation done and will not be using. Felt that he looked down nose at everything in property, which is actually done to a high standard, it just needs a few finishing touches before going on market. These finishing touches needed were the only things that received any comment at all. Very negative. Made to feel embarrassed. No information given on how to move forward, e.g. how much they charge etc. Clearly the property isnt high enough value for them.

This service is nothing short of a disgrace, I got offered a property, was advised they would call me to pay my holding fee. Once I called them back to pay it, they had offered it to someone else. Did t even call to let me know. I was waiting on them calling me back. They then refused to take complaints on this matter. The people that's work there should be ashamed of themselves. I'm out the pocket due to joking a van for moving in. Absolutely shocking shocking shocking service. This company should not exist. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

Extreme difficulty trying to views property with Slater Hogg Candleriggs

Have been trying to view properties in Glasgow city centre to buy and have real trouble in making appointments.Sometimes they answer your emails, sometimes, not, make viewing arrangements but dont confirm the flat details and time etc. get several different out of offices, then no repliesI would beware of selling your property with the candleriggs branch of slater hogg as viewers are not getting access to make appointments.If i see a new property listing, if I see if its listed with slater hogg, my heart sinks as i dont want to try and make an appointment with them.

Excellent response. I had informed them last Saturday with a problem with my oven. They call me on Monday and they arrange with a technician to come and see the oven. The technician came and inform me that it would be better to call the manufacturer of the oven since is brand new and probably if he touch smth i would miss the guarantee. Immediately they call me again today and they inform me for the new appointment. I am grateful and i hope they will continue this way.
