GoogleWe have just completed the sale of our three bedroom flat on the Folkestone seafront. This was a sale initiated and negotiated within the constraints of the COVID pandemic. Our agent, David Russell, managed all this adeptly, providing guidance on valuation, responding to our queries promptly and thoroughly. GoogleThe agency has been very helpful in managing rental houses and subsequently selling them. This included helpful inspection updates while they were rented, liaising with tenants over maintenance work, and managing to secure buyers' interests quickly. Staff are always friendly and helpful and ensure that any queries are responded to quickly.

Will, in particular went above and beyond to help where possible , and even did a home visit to help when my father wasn’t mobile . They are very helpful and all try their best to help when possible . Very grateful to them all for helping him in a difficult situation.

GoogleAvoid like the plague...if I could give them a minus number instead of 1 star I would. Unprofessional dismissive liars for estate agents. Persistent failure to maintain the property my wife and i were in for 7 years to the point they used their failures to take our deposit. Rude arrogant people who look down on you. And when openly reviewed on Facebook they played dirty and get your account shut down by reporting it in such a way it cant be recovered. This company are Torie Britain personified. They shouldn't be allowed to operate.

GoogleWould not recommend dealing with Martin & Co, they are very inconsistent and feel that it is acceptable to lie to their clients. The staff are quite rude & unhelpful. Overall they don't have an ounce of care for their work and don't seem to care about providing quality of service.
Dear Mr Neeley, Thank you for your feedback and I apologise that you felt that the service you received was below what you expected. I can see from our records you viewed two properties with Martin & Co with your partner Louise and made an application for one of them. Unfortunately you were not the only applicants we received for that property from the viewings that occurred. When we receive more than one application we always consult with the landlord and provide them with information about all the customers who have applied. The landlord then makes a decision on which applicants they want to proceed with. Unfortunately in this case you were not selected and we realise that this must have been disappointing. As soon as we received notification from the landlord we provided you with a full refund on your application fees. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I honestly do not think i have ever had the opportunity to give a better review than i can give today. Will at Martin and co has been absolutely fantastic from day one. He is always so helpful and will go above and beyond to make sure myself and my husband are being well looked after. He's cheeky and funny and has just made myself and my husband feel comfortable throughout our experience with them. I particularly love that he won't 'beat around the bush', if there's a problem, he will tell you and then get it sorted.

GoogleAwfull staff (Richard) absolute joke. Always getting fobbed off when phoning to speak with someone saying they will phone you back and never get a reply. Overpriced unfair charges made with your deposit money without consulting you when you move out.
Dear Louis, We are sorry that you have been finding it difficult to speak to a member of our team. I can see that at the time of your complaint several people were off, which made it more difficult to speak to a member of the team. We are now actively hiring additional staff. We are sorry that you find the charges overpriced; we can assure they are not. Your deposit has been registered with the DPS: our deposit proposal does highlight that any concerns you may have about the fairness of any proposed deduction can be brought to the attention to an independent case assessor with the DPS, who will then make a final and binding decision for all parties.

As estate agents, we take pride in the applicants we put forward to our landlords. Sometimes, some applicants are disingenuous: when we believe that a prospective applicant is not a good fit, we will not take such applications forward. I note that you previously commented that "We found you to be very knowledgeable and helpful and look forward to viewing other properties with you as they become available." We are human, and make mistakes like everyone does: feedback - even when it is uncomfortable - allows us to learn and improve. In this case I believe that we have made the right decision by not moving forward with the application.
