Laura was friendly and helpful during the phone call and asked good questions about my mother's needs. However when the list of possible care providers came they were not suitable and did not match what we were looking for. One place rang me to say they were solely a nursing home …one emailed suggesting respite care with an immediate placement… one, which looked very nice, told me they have “a long waiting list” and one I knew because my father had been in there, and we had a very bad experience… but Laura wasn't to know that. Another emailed me a long list of questions about mum, which didn’t endear me to their style of care! So I did my own research on line and visited a local care home which wasn't on the list, they can meet my mother's needs and have availability. So in summary, contact with your service was unhelpful and a waste of time.

Very happy with your service. Laura was very helpful and we’ve had quite a few emails and phone calls since I spoke to Laura from various care homes. We are not in immediate need for a care home at the moment so we have time to go through all the brochures we’ve received and we will be going to look round the short listed ones.

The help and support I received from Kerry, a member of your care team, was absolutely fantastic. She did absolutely everything she could to help our family find support and care for my husband for the week of our son’s wedding in Devon. I had tried to find care myself, but was unsuccessful. Kerry was wonderful, very supportive and clearly puts lots of time and effort in trying to assist us. It is thanks to her that we have been contacted by a care home in Devon who are going to support and help us care for my husband, who has advanced Alzheimers, not only on the day of our son wedding, but also on some days the week before the wedding. As a family, we can’t thank Kerry enough. With the help we will now get we should all, my husband included, be able to enjoy our son’s wedding.

Having found myself in a position of searching for a care home for my cousin whilst work is being carried out in her house, I contacted Carehome.co.uk to see if they could assist in finding a respite care bed for 2 weeks.There is a 200 mile distance between us, making it difficult to coordinate arrangements.My initial discussion put me at ease straight away, and having outlined the requirements I was sent a shortlist of quality care homes in the Kent area.Coordinating respite care and availability of builders can seem a daunting task, but I have been well supported in my quest.My advice - - don't struggle on your own, get in touch with them and talk through the problem.

absolutely brilliant service, and cannot recommend enough. From initial phone call with Emma, who really took the time to understand our needs - including our very tight timescale - carehome.co.uk managed to come up with a list of local care homes, which resulted in the placement of my mother in law less than 1/2 mile from our home. Result!! Big thank you to Dawn also for preparing the list and the help getting Ashcroft Hollow onboard.If you need help sourcing care home beds for a relative or loved one, then this is the first place you should turn to.

Brilliant service. After searching online for a care home for my dad who has Alzheimer’s and nursing needs, I found this site and spoke to Janene who took details of what I was looking for. Within a day she’d emailed me a list of homes suitable and within two days I’d visited 3 and within the week my dad is moving in to a brilliant home where I’m confident he will be cared for.

Kerry was very helpful, communication was excellent and she was able to put us in touch with a number of care homes that we would not have found or would not have considered. We were struggling to find an appropriate placement for Mum, she has challenging behaviour and is difficult to place.The care homes were quick to respond and we were able to speak to the correct person straight away. We have hopefully now found a placement by using this service.

Emma was so professional, friendly, genuinely empathetic and knowledgeable. In addition, her considerable efforts resulted in five different care home visits so my 98 yr old father-in-law was able to choose wheee hr wanted to live. He chose ‘No 4’ and was warmly welcomed into the home of his choice yesterday. We also were contacted by another agency shortly after Emma contacted us - in contrast to Emma’s wonderful manner,, we were treated more like an annoying desk-clearing exercise. We have nothing but praise for this young lady - she really helped us out at a difficult time. If all of the employees are this good, this firm gets our unreserved recommendation. Thank you, Emma.

I have moved to Willow Park Lodge Care Home Coombe Valley Road Dover. Up to just I have had a very good experience the Staff are Competent Friendly and Caring and cannot do enough for you. The food is brilliant and the activities they provide is excellent. I have been in numerous Care Homes in the last 4 years Respite and long term and I can honestly say without fear or contraindication that Willow Park Lodge is the best one I have been in by a Country Mile and they have not paid me to say this. The decision to send a loved one into care is a decision that is very hard to do but sometimes it is the best for all concerned. So if you have made the hard decision to place your loved one in a care home I would highly recommend Willow Park Lodge.
