My brother and had been considering moving our mum from London to a care home in NI. Spoke to Dawn who was helpful and polite. In the end my mum preferred to stay inLondon for now. But the process to find a home for her here in NI was simple and easy with carehome.

I contacted Care Home as my mum is needing to consider care. Kerry was so helpful and sent me information about the local care homes and she made contact with them and asked them to call me. The support and help from Kerry was fantastic. She was also checking in with me regularly to find out how I was getting on with my search.

This is a service which is paid for by the care homes. The care manager are allowed to disregard any negative feedback and not allow it too be posted. Very often the ratings of the care homes in here are “fixed” and not the reality.

My Great Aunt was in Ash Court Care Home on Brookside Avenue, Liverpool for 2 years. We were happy with the set up, the rooms, the staff, the location and the care she received but then in September 2021 she started to go downhill and was sleeping much of the time. Again she was being well cared for and family were allowed to sit with her as long as possible. However, one morning my cousin who went in everyday noticed immediately he walked into her room that her wedding ring was missing. She never took it off and because of its thickness it was hard to miss. The room was searched thoroughly but there was no sign of the ring. Management were informed as well as the police. The attitude of the management was 'so what these things happen'. No these things don't just happen especially when visiting was being so closely monitored because of covid. It has to have been a member of staff and little if anything was done to question those staff on duty at the time. I would advise that no one should send any vulnerable loved one to this home until the thief has been uncovered because it is not safe. I would also say that the management should be very seriously concerned that they are employing a thief.

Good selection of geographically appropriate homes, but some were not offering respite which is what I wanted and only one had vacancies and it was wholly unsuitable. I did better myself using a filter function.
