I found it so helpful speaking to Laura when I needed to quickly arrange a care home placement for my mother.She collated a group of care homes that I was able to contact. She updated the list several times over the following few days.She had listened carefully to my requirements and I was successful in securing a placement.I would be happy to use this service in future and I am happy to recommend this team.

Surprisingly engaging experience. We fully discussed the needs of the person, considered appropriate care responses. Holly from carehome.co.uk went on to explain their outreach to suitable local care homes - who would themselves contact me: a huge bonus rather than me having to churn through dozens of possibles.I was duly contacted by two homes and obtained the information I wanted, to narrow down options ahead of visits etc. The care needs of the person changed and we are not proceeding with search at the moment. But carehome.co.uk seems to very usefully assist such exercises and i will revert as the need develops.

Have been visiting my Mother in this Care Home since Feb 2024 every 2-3 days, when it became necessary due to her circumstances that we could not offer her the time and care that she now receives. We are happy with her progress but as we know that with Age changes are both physical/mental which the Lakeview Staff recognise, so 10/10 for their efforts.On a second point.... the car park gets very busy with visitors and attended on a Sunday when Staff were wash/valeting their cars---- So Wrong, Charity Car Wash, well done :)

I was feeling emotionally exhausted and quite tearful by the time I spoke with Laura. She was empathetic and really helpful, took all of Mum’s details and created a list of relevant care homes offering dementia care within a 10 mile radius. She also contacted all of the homes on the list who then contacted me with their availability or not. This really helped me. Laura also updated the list of homes with the results from the homes. She also emailed me for progress updates and check if I required more assistance. Subsequently we found a home from that list.

I was able to identify care homes for my mother in her home town along with the support services they were able to provide.As I am a resident of Canada this was extremely useful.In the end I needed a quick turnaround and followed up on the care home of my preferred choice within 48 hours as decisions were quickly made by NHS and social services on my mothers needs.Within 5 days of using your website, my mother was in her residential care home.Without your information I would not have been in a position to act so quickly.

I found myself getting involved with this business inadvertently when I used their contact portal to get in touch with a care home. The representative who contacted me was a little more sales driven in my opinion and failed to understand our circumstances. I'm sure they have a place in the care sector but it was of no use to me.

Your company sucks when I have left an honest review for what had happened to my late mother at claremount nursing home Halifax, and it's on public domain online about the stupid mental health nurse Mamello Herring been struck off 2022 and you have complained to trustpilot to have my review removed, why don't you lot look at the newspaper article on this claremount nursing home Halifax and I have got proof the nursing home is just to blame for not taking care of my late mother, by not giving enough fluid and food and not assisting because she was blind I would give claremount nursing home 0 Star review and yours a 1 Star review and this not defamation it's a fact now take me to court you bunches of inept person's.

Having spent months going round care homes with my parents, we realised putting their names down on waiting lists for the few rare double rooms was getting us nowhere. Meanwhile my sister who was taking care of them became more and more desperate for respite. We felt really stuck. Somehow -and I can’t even remember how - I stumbled over carehome.co.uk on the internet and was astonished the lady on the end of the phone was offering to make a shortlist of places with availability for us. It was a free service. Okay so some of the homes she shortlisted had unsatisfactory ratings from the Care Quality Commission, but there was one which was rated outstanding. And it was local. And it had a double room available straight away. It was the managers lovely whippet that swung it for my mother and the laid back not-for-profit approach. But I’d never have found it if not for Kerry at carehome.co.uk. It’s a fantastic service and it saved our bacon.

I agree that this site is a waste of time. We placed our mother in a care home with top rating on this site. Heathfield in Warrington. They get themselves in the local paper on the basis of these reviews, but when I look I see the reviews are vetted by the care home, so of course no negative reviews will be published. If I could, my review would give no stars and I would not recommend them to anyone.
