All of the information about my Mum was provided at the initial consultation. I assumed this would save time repeating to rach home. So far, none have had oversight of the info provided snd The Knoll in Quedgeley quoted a price subject to assessment. I’m not sure an assessment can be done before moving Mum, so I assume this is not a cost we can rely on for the budget. This is really unhelpful. We cannot move Mum to somewhere we cannot afford and all the relevant info to make the assessment was provided

It is hard to put in to words just how much help and support my family and I have been given by this service and I cannot thank and praise Kerry Wood who was our contact enough. When my Sister (age 60 and blind with many complex health issues) reached the stage where she had no choice but to go and live in a home we felt completely overwhelmed and didn't know where to start with our search for the best possible place for my sister to live in. With Kerry's help and support we have been able to place my Sister in the perfect home and have been guided through the whole scary process with an amazing amount of support, care, compassion, patience, professionalism and genuine interest and kindness. I would recommend this service to anyone who needs help looking for a care home for themselves or a loved one as it is a truly valuable, free and impartial, amazing resource and so much help. Holly was great, very friendly, professional, kept in touch regularly to see how my visits were going and always asking if she could help with anything else. Trying to find a care home is stressful and takes up a lot of time searching for the right one but when I found care home.co.uk I hit the jackpot when I spoke to Kerry. Suddenly all the worry went away as she was so helpful asking me what my requirements were with regard to my sister in law’s needs. She asked about health issues so she could search for the care home that would suit best. She contacted various homes on my behalf and kept me up to date with progress and emailed me regularly. Kerry was very understanding and professional and the only thing I had to do was wait for the care homes to contact me which many did and of course I could search through the lists that Kerry had sent me to contact them as I wished. It was all made so easy in a time of stress.

Very impressed with the care help team, I hadn’t used this service before but have a 95 year old aunt who is in hospital at present with a number of issues and I wanted to explore all possibilities around getting her discharged, a care home is one of those. Emailed in and then Spoke with a very helpful lady to whom I explained our situation, over the next few days I received a number of emails and calls from local care homes, none of whom were pushy and all offering their services if required. Haven’t taken any up as yet as my Aunt is still in hospital and may come out with a care package, but undoubtedly we will need the services of a home at some stage and thanks to the care help team, I am now equipped with details of local homes who should be able to assist.

I was hitting a brick wall with Kent County Council trying to get my mother into a care home that specialised in dementia. Initially I spoke to the Alzeimers Society who put me in touch with Carehome.co.uk.Having explained my situation to Lizzie she asked pertinent questions about my mother's health, mobility etc. She then informed me that she would make a list of suitable care homes to contact. Within 2 days Lizzie sent me an email with seven homes. Apparently Lizzie had contacted the homes, explained the situation and forwarded my details. I then contacted the homes. The second home I contacted had a ground floor ensuite available and I immediately had a good feeling whilst speaking to the manager. My brother visited the home and the next he took my mother to view. My mother then moved in the following day.The process from speaking to Lizzie and my mother moving into the home took roughly seven days. I can not thank Lizzie and Paulina enough for their help and understanding. A fantastic experience and I highly recommend the carehome.co.uk

Kerry has been brilliant! She listened to our needs and offered a list of suitable care homes. I am so glad I found this system and the website because I found the QCC reviews really clunky to use and I was wasting so much time looking for something suitable. Its not an easy process when you are trying to find somewhere for your loved one and having the help of someone that knows the system has been invaluable. Lizzie was more than a godsend. I had done research into care options in another area and when our circumstances meant we needed to look in a completely different area I’ll be honest and say I couldn’t face doing it all again. In stepped Lizzie. She was kind and compassionate on the phone. She listened, offered advice and took such a weight off of my family. When she provided the list of care options just a few days later they all met our criteria. The information provided was informative and easy to read with Lizzie making her own notes and comments about the care homes. I’m not sure we could have done this without her and certainly not with my sanity intact. Finding care is such a stressful and heart wrenching time as all you want is the best for your loved one. Having someone like Lizzie give you a firm direction and option takes so much of that stress that you can just focus on your family.
