GoogleI have used Bourne Estate Agents (both the Farnham and Alton branches) for years to manage my buy-to-let properties. The service offered by both lettings teams is consistently outstanding. They take care of everything, and nothing is too much trouble. From finding tenants, arranging any pre-tenancy works to the properties, making sure all necessary safety certificates are obtained, to the day-to-day managing of all maintenance issues and tenancy renewals, the team at Bourne always do a professional, efficient job, and, just as importantly, are a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend!

GoogleWe’ve now been waiting for Bourne to release our deposit for almost three months. They’re staff are so eager to quit that you talk to a different person each time you call (who just started and has no idea what they’re doing). It’s a shame when we first let from them they seemed to have it together but it’s all gone downhill. Run, don’t walk away from a Bourne-listed property or you’ll regret ever interacting with them.
Dear Brian, I am sorry to read this review, I have investigated the tenancy in detail plus spoken to our head of property management (Matthew Ware) to understand more. Looking into your tenancy I can see you actually moved out 7 weeks ago on the 1st September, so we are unclear where ‘three months’ comes from? As discussed with you, we always aim to release the deposit as soon as possible, however, this is dependent on discussions between yourself and the landlord regarding potential deductions coming to a successful conclusion. The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) guidelines indicate that these discussions are able to take place for up to 3 months from the check-out date before the matter can be referred to the TDS, who will arbitrate on the dispute as an independent 3rd party. Throughout this process it is between yourself and your landlord to come to an agreement regarding deductions. Bourne can only release the deposit once this has been formally reached by both parties. I am sorry you feel that Bourne is at fault here, however, we can’t release the deposit until we receive an agreed instruction by both tenant & landlord. I understand our accounts department released the balance of your deposit yesterday, minus deductions you had agreed with your landlord so we hope this brings the matter to a close for you, however, if you have any further questions please feel free to contact Matthew. The reasons are many: good work ethic, team players, great communication between themselves and the client, enthusiastic, professional, knowledgeable, each and every department have scored well because of their skills and commitment. GoogleWe rented with Bourne for 2 years and I simply have nothing good to say about them; they displayed a total lack of respect for us as tenants and were on occasion outright rude, and seemingly oblivious to their ineptitude. Reported issues, including a leak in the kitchen and resulting mould issue, were left unanswered and unresolved for months at a time and they fought back on almost everything. I hear good things about their sales department, but they're certainly not using the A-team for lettings...very poor customer service. Avoid.

GoogleAfter buying my property through Bourne 6 years ago, I asked them to value my house for sale at the start of 2022. Remembering us from previously Rob and Adrian attended the valuation and the genuine, enthusiastic nature instantly made us feel that listing the property with them was the right choice. Ever since, Rob, Adrian and the whole team have been incredibly supportive, professional, honest and helpful regarding feedback and problem solving. Their communication has been first class, with us never waiting a long time for a response or answers to our questions. We cannot recommend this team enough.
