GoogleAfter being caught up in the lockdown in spain, I contacted Martin And Co and dealt primarily with Alice.. from start to finish she couldnt have been more helpful and went above and beyond to assist us in securing a property before we managed to get back. All of the other members of staff that we dealt with were equally helpful and i cant thank them enough for all their efforts, a fantastic company and will always be my first choice when looking for somewhere to rent.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleI hope people read this and the other terrible reviews. Please stay very clear of them. Worst agent I have ever dealt with in my 20 years of being a landlord . They never respond if there’s an issue, the manager terrible and more like a bad car salesman than an estate agent. They try to worm money out of landlords by creating work for they’re workmen. They have zero communication between staff, a tenant moved out without paying, then I had an email from a staff member two months after saying would I like to renew their tenancy ! When it’s money they owe or an issue on their side they never respond. How they are still in business is a miracle !NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

I also work for other agents and private landlords, so I feel in a good position to be able to give a qualified and professional review of their service. I have always found Martin And Co to be very easy to deal with, yet very professional in the execution of their duties. From my point of view as a tradesman, they expect and receive a timely professional service and personally ensure the quality of workmanship. I have always found their administration and communication to be excellent. As a landlord myself I have put my own property in their care so I can assure any potential future clients of the quality of service and value for money you would receive. GoogleI have used Martin's in Exeter for my property management for 10 years and am really happy with their service - a much better service than an agent I used previously. They communicate well and deal promptly and efficiently with any repairs. I have been particularly impressed with the service I have received from Maggie who has dealt with all the maintenance issues. GoogleWe have two properties with them. Staff all good but Madeline is exceptional, professional and very helpful at finding the right tenants. Fees are very competitive. Would definitely recommend their services on our experience so far.

GoogleMartin&Co is without doubt the best Estate Agency in Exeter. Going through the process of finding a place to rent for myself and my family - immigrating from Australia - has proven to be rather challenging. However, both Maggie and Eleanor for Martin&Co have shown kindness and professionalism that appears to be lacking from other agencies in the area. Thank you. Cliff.

GoogleDo not do Business with Martin & Co!!!! They were very happy to show us around the flat, and the process for renting was quite easy, but as soon as you go to leave, they drag their heels considerably!!!! We agreed with the landlord we would leave early from the contract, and we would find new tenants ourselves as we had to leave because me and my partner were having a baby, and the £615 cancellation fee was quite steep. Landlord agreed a reduced cancellation fee if we found new tenants ourselves, we did this, estate agent overruled anyway. When we asked why, they said they 'didn't have to justify anything'. We spent 2 days cleaning the flat before we left, but they still took £115+ off the deposit for 'cleaning'. When we asked to see the bill for our own accounts, we were told that again, they didn't need to show us any proof of anything, and that was that. So we paid the cancellation fee, thinking that would be it over finally, but after we'd left, they sent us another bill for 3 days which we weren't even in the flat, and again had no choice but to pay. For context: We had agreed a move out date, they were charging us for 3 days the flat was empty, which we didn't agree to.... Also, good luck trying to get hold of someone to talk to about it either by phone or e-mail. They say that someone will get back in touch but it never ever happens. So in summary, Martin and Co. will happily take your money, but good luck getting anything back afterwards. Would NOT recommend!!!! I really cannot emphasize that enough.
