My visit to Audley Villages was very pleasant and informative. Consultant who was showing me around was professional in a friendly manner. He explained all important aspects of living in a retirement development without being pushy. I have changed my mind regarding those kind of properties after this visit.

The experience of visiting Audley Village was very enjoyable and informative . A special ‘thank you’ to Gemma who enhanced the tour. Gemma was professional, personable and very knowledgeable about not only the ‘village’ from a prospective purchaser’s viewpoint but was able to provide very interesting historical information about the site.

Audley Village in Cobham is one of the most luxurious and beautiful venues I have ever seen. The private apartments ae generous in size and fitted with the most up to date equipment. The public areas are designed and furnished in a style equivalent or if not better than most 4 star hotels in London. The Sales Manager who showed me round deserves special praise for her informative manner and knowledge of the villages amenities.

We have no criticisms. Marie Chalklen was welcoming, understanding, professional and an excellent communicator. She had all the information at her fingertips. Most impressively there was no attempt at a “hard sell”. The costs were clearly presented - a very good presentation of a good product.

Lucy was very helpful and answered all our questions. We were however told on the phone by another member of staff, that although village was under construction, we would be able to view a show home. There was in fact no show home to see!

A little difficult to find down narrow country lanes but a warm welcome when we arrived. Accommodation was of a high standard and Mr Dunlop gave an excellent overview. We are considering several options at the moment but this is one we would seriously consider.

What is the point of reviews based upon a 'visit'. Such reviews have clearly been canvassed and don't really tell prospective punters anything at all. If the whole Audley experience is a tour and afternoon tea then fabulous, these reviews will help. But if you want to know what it is like finalising a deal, moving in, paying service charges, getting maintenance issued addressed, meeting new neighbours, enjoy the facilities, reporting problems, accessing care, being a care receiver, dealing with relatives that have passed, stomaching losing 28% of the value of the apartment. Etc etc etc.So PLEASE, if you have experience of Audley, let's hear it. But if all you had was tea and cake with a tour around a flat for sale, save your 'review' until you've lived there 3 years.

Elizabeth made us very welcome, showed us three different size apartments, which were beautifully finished. We were mainly interested in the largest apartment but my wife also wanted a balcony. My wife was also concerned out the loss of her private garden. The prices of the flats were fine. We were concerned about the 2-4% per annum fee for ‘maintenance’ upon selling ( limited to 24%) which seemed excessive.

The customer service was excellent and everybody made us feel comfortable. The different areas were clean and well presented. Now we have had time to discuss our visit we feel confident in going back and explore in more detail the financial implications. There is so much to take in and think about when looking for a potential retirement home it is nice to feel that you have time to consider everything.

Good company with nice premises and pleasant staff. Properties appear to be slightly small after owning a fairly large house and downsizing to suit may be difficult.
